Seems appropriate to link this video here: This is what I appreciate as a viewer (not a customer, as Aidan pointed out) -- authenticity. Like when Jimmy does a video with his nails painted blue and gives zero fucks about your opinion Also, I'd like to share why I watch Youtube simracing content at all, and what I'm looking for. Maybe it helps someone making content decisions. If not, ignore the shit out of these 2 cents. Having a full-time job and family to take care of after work, I have limited time for simracing. However, I have plenty of time at work, so I use it to squeeze more from my own racing time: acquaint myself with simracing techniques or car setups, watch curcuit guides and learn new tracks (very little content around this), find interesting mods to try out, check out a car/track combinations I like so I can have a benchmark to compare myself to offline, etc. Basically, I can have a passive simracing fix when I can't race myself, but constructive enough so each night I enjoy simracing a bit more than I did the night before
@t0p5ecret Yep, i agree with you. Ang your approach to making videos is easy to understand. I haven't seen agressive marketing at your channel. Now i have Miseluk and i am happy i bought it too But i am also happy i haven't bought some "awesome" car mods promoted on well known youtube channels. Thanks to comunity forums.
Mate Miseluk is sooo good, glad you are enjoying it, I haven’t tried the kart layout yet. I might do that next.
Mate you read my mind, my next video after Formula E at Monaco is the Datsun 510 at Kičevo, they are a a perfect match.
I quite like Billy stranges vids. He's quite clued up and seems to share the same opinions I do. I miss isrtv as well Shame about that channel I used to like jb channel, but with all the "chav boi" word use and stuff the channel feels a bit immature. Although I do respect his opinion when he actually does some sim Content..
It wasnt that bad after darin left. John tried his best to keep that channel going I commend his hard work just Wasn't to be. Amongst all the politics bs. Yet if it wasnt for them, these other so called sim channel dudes wouldn't have viewers. Most of these now is just some guy playing a racing game. Can I lap nordsliefe in a shopping trolley and crap like that! The "show" aspect of news sim hardware reviews etc is scarce .. mainly delivered by simpit the only channel I respect.. And that's unfortunate
Speaking of Inside simracing, Billy Strange has his own channel. Also He and Shaun Cole does a podcast on The simpit channel.
Only one I'm subscribed to is SimRacing604. When I watch/search for simracing cotent in youtube is more for reviews on content or hardware than for entertainment.
Darin’s behaviour (see Empty Box spat and Daytona 24 meltdown) tarnished the reputation of the whole thing. Only place I go for gear reviews these days is Sim Racing Garage.
Some of my likes; Sim racing garage; Equipment reviews, his OSW comparison sold me the OSW. Jimmy Broadbent; Pure entertainment, he has always done random low end games like Need for speed etc. I like his modesty, unpredictability and frankness. Example was someone who made a snide comment about him using gloves; Jimmer answered "do you have any idea how much force this wheel puts out? No you don't do you, you are just some C--- on the internet". When its a big multiplayer event Jimmer takes it seriously. Jimmys rise to stardom is great for simracing IMO. That is despite him welching on an agreement to test my real life race car for a segment (which would have made it the highest profile MX5 Supercup car on the planet-come in sponsors!!!). Empty Box; some great early Sim history reviews, some series. Simpit: When I feel like having a friend over to chat about stuff, that's what Shaun is like. EDIT: I have to also mention the guy who pretty much got me back into sim racing after maybe 10 years off. Steve Stoop, whose "Lets play career mode on F1 2010" was mega and got me curious enough to buy the game.
Not just because it's you Dave, but FSR has some of the most professional broadcasting of sim racing.
