    Preview.jpg Rather than go on about it - we've released our 2018 V8 Supercars mod on Steam Workshop - its a full install and unrelated to the old 2014-16 mod which will undergo a DX11 update and a few fixes soon.

    So the 2018 mod is raring to go and hopefully good fun. It's not a bought mod and all the stuff is done by 3 of us. It's all scratch built, maybe a couple of minor things are from S397. It has the new tyre model and stuff. We're constantly looking at it while we finalise the 2019 version and anticipate an update to rectify some minor issues.

    Have fun - special thanks to everyone that helped test it and all the FVRFactor forum members that provided feedback.

    Be respectful - if you don't like it unsubscribe. We're not forcing you to use it but so far it has had a good wrap as it can be fun. There are two included versions, server version and normal version. Server version unlocks all the diffs and gearboxes, otherwise the normal version uses the correct appliances to the relevant tracks.

    Very well done mod ..interior sounds are awesome, car feels great on track, looks good and liveries are well done.If I had to criticize anything, the only thing would be external sound of car..eg: exterior sound of same car from pcars2 is what Would make it "perfect.".just a very minor gripe.. thank you for all your hard work to bring these great cars to the RF2 community

    Great mod, have already done a full race at Adelaide street circuit. Curb hopping madness :D I think you've nailed it, a ton and a half of pure joy.:cool:
    Sounds are great, skins are spot on, modelling is on the money and the new tyre package makes it feel like I'm in the car.

    Again Many Thanks @FlashQld for you and your teams hard work, any luck with the Wing Mirrors? I've tried with a default player.JSON but they still refuse to move and their scaling is Off.

    Do the AI sound almost like an Electric Car to you? I just had my first Session with them and they sounded anything but V8 so thought something wasn't quite right.

    I've said it before, and I'll say it again: My favourite sim racing mod.

    I'll have my review up tomorrow. Running out of words to describe how good it is, and look forward to any updates

    Yes, I was using the AI, and you are absolutely correct in the " electric car" sound from ai , I will have to watch again just viewing my car without any ai around it.

    The sounds are something we haven't touched properly for a number of years. There is a Seahawk's version (one of our members did an update modification) in the options which gives a more throaty sound from memory. Rest assured we will look at that as we move to the 2019 mod but it may not make the first patch we intend to do for the 2018's.

    Hi Marc we are looking at that issue as a priority, strangely enough it hasn't popped out at us. the mirrors I've been doing for the last 12 years and for some reason something is different but not documented. I'll flit through the old ISI docs in case it has been something I have always missed. The AI should use the same sound as the main car but I'll have a listen. I don't actually have the sound up on my rig as all I do is AI one car, check, close, go back to modifying, open do a quick check and so it goes for a year. Because we haven't changed the sounds for a long while it hasn't been a priority but I'll have a listen as that is two of you today that have mentioned it. Sound is something we haven't done for many years so it won't be in the first patch - well its not planned.

    Don't understand that one as they all use the same sounds, so will have a listen when I get home on that one.

    Hi Aidan just letting you know we're trying a number of fixes for an update, some we're still working on, some we haven't worked out as yet. We're going to try and solve a number of issues and then do fewer actual patches. So hopefully within a few weeks.

    Will the Mustang have all new physics or will it be very similar to the Falcon?

    Aiden I would think that the Mustang will be fairly similar to the falcon as its mechanically the same car underneath and the aero is also very similar to the falcon

    Okay following the link MattyOnline posted has solved the issue with the mirrors. Good one S397 - just like ISI you forget to tell anyone you've changed something we've been doing for years, yet it worked partially aaggghhhh - can't be that hard to spend 5 minutes updating a web page to say hey we've updated a simple little function, maybe even update the dev car and say there are new functions in it because it's not right either. The last time mirrors were discussed were in the ISI tutorial how to mod a car. 2012. Mind you if they did which I haven't found then I'm profusely sorry heheheh.

    So anyway we're cracking on with a few fixes in the operation. Especially the disappearing Falcon headlight, it worked and then I did the windscreens and now I see it doesn't work. So I must have changed something but we'll sort that out.

    I'm aiming for a 22nd March update - so in case you run a server that's the date unless you PM me and tell me otherwise.
