to the performance topics: I've been playing the game for several years and had always the same PC and i only changed the graphics card over the years. I change from GTX 770 to 970 to 1080 ... The difference to the individual graphics cards was noticeable but never strong. About a year ago I changed from triple monitors to VR and the performance was overall medium. My CPU was the Core I7 2600K and I had to startle with scare that this is now 8 years old. So I bought a new PC with 32GB RAM (I already had it before), Core I7 8800K and the already existing GTX 1080. Since that time I can set all settings to high or full and the game runs smoothly with a full starter field. As so often written here in the forum, the game has its requirements because of its design and the great physics and Need are mainly current high-performance CPU and a lot of video RAM, oder PC Specs is only possible with big compromises. Incidentally, the PC cost 900 euros, which is a manageable investment that really pays off ...

I'm not having any issues playing rF2 maxed at 4k with PP at High and 5x AA ! I play with Vsync so haven't looked what my fps is past 60 but it certainly does not slip below it ! I sold off my Rift because that was a constant battle getting a smooth 90 fps but 4k 60 isn't a problem ;)

Why not a smooth 60 in VR?

You need 90 fps or use ASW to have 45, but it`s software interpolation to simule 90.

As lagg said, VR is 90 or 45 fps depending on how powerful your PC is. 90 fps is great where 45 introduces artifacts and depending on how sensitive you are, stutters. 90 fps is hard to get in most Sims even with my 1080ti and it's like the once you go 144Hz you can't do 60 , lol

I can't see the line on the gear chart in car setup still, which is a complete joke. It used to be red on black in dx9, it's been blue on black since dx11. That's prob the best part of 2 years now. I'm not going to waste my breath with this absurdity any longer.

I can only assume the blue line is here to stay? That's all I need to know. Thanks.

@hardtohandle You may have missed this, as it hasn't really been announced or discussed publicly - there's a new UI coming.

In all seriousness, I too would have expected that colour to be adjusted, but I wouldn't expect it now.

:) 'Just days' could be any number. Incredibly imprecise and thus very precise. WHENEVER the UI is released, it will be a total of just days from today.

What it is, is very accurate. It's nearly a textbook definition of accuracy vs precision.

Well from the SImExpo in late 2018 it was stated that the new UI-Competition System would be implemented at the end of Q1'19 - they have 16 days before we get another 'delayed - coming soon' message OR we will actually have it.

    Does "implemented" means released ?
It might be another PR BS like "waiting for manufacturers approval".
