Does anyone knows how to edit the photo presentation from the mods?

The image is inside TEAMS folder and has to be 512x512 dds.
You have to add ICON at end of name file.

    Example:
    name of veh - Andretti_28.veh
    name of skin - Andretti_28.dds
name of Ui pic - Andretti_28ICON.dds

Find your car inside installed vehicles folder and with Mas2.exe unpack the TEAMS.mas to a new folder.

With notepad open veh file and see the name of DefaultLivery name dds. The icon must have same name including icon without space

You tried in DevMode to check it?

Go to DevMode vehicles folder and make a new one for your car.
Paste there the Teams folder the sound and graphics mas from your installed vehicles folder. The main.mas has to be extracted also in your DevMode vehicles folder.

Check in devmode the Skip Barber as an example

rF2 reads the cars from installed vehicles folder only if they are in mas file
If you put the teams folder there it won't work

We are here to help each other :)

Watch the video to learn how to pack the files to mas and packaging the mas files to rfcmp car package.
Then you put the rfcmp car file in your package folder and install it from launcher.

Other alternative is the Devmode like the SkipBarber structure folder, for the Devmode only.

Very nice! Did you take the picture from the white showroom (from the workshop showrooms)?

The SMicon.dds is half the image size of the icon.dds - always assumed SM is short for small. I'm curious if the SMicon is still necessary? It seems it's for users who run very low screen resolutions. I still create them anyway and it doesn't take much time really, I create all the icon.dds's I need using a script, then when I'm done with that I run through them with a script to resize those files and save as adding the SM to the name.

It will be interesting once S397 launches the new UI if these icons images become obsolete. I think it would be better to render the actual car vs clicking an icon. Or have these images auto generated with the option of modders putting an overlay graphic with alpha to apply the Andretti logo like what you have there. Should be interesting.

I don't think smicon is needed in the new ui, but the icon file still is.

If it's custom team, I don't think you can(create team from skin). If it's for a mod you're making, then is just vehfilenameIcon.dds or png.

Thanks for your info. I just made a skin for the Porsche GT3 R and wanted to have a preview in the car selection. But was afraid its not possible.

I've not tried this, but you could attempt to name it after the original car, you can find that name in the rcd file, under VehFile.

I have made a veh file for the skin and put it into the mas like the dds, png and json files. But does not work ... Can only hope it will work better with the new UI.
