    Not it you knock the games ffb down to 75 or so I've ran 100 for years but in game around 60-75

    I doubt it would break the wheel as such options would surely be removed from being accessible, but you are right that 100% overall force isn't the best possible setting. Basically with 100% you have a more nonlinear delivery of output in Thrustmaster wheels, whereas it has been shown that around 70% is the most linear curve with regards to desired output and actual output.

    There was a video that debunked the absence of linearity of the T300 at high strength. WheelCheck linear force test output isn't linear because it measures forces through travel but you should consider that speed becomes constant because of friction. In that case, the travel output is unreliable because it can't be directly compared to the "zones" where top speed isn't reached. In the video torque was measured through a lever and a scale. I can't find it anymore, does somebody have the link?

    To be fair I've just run a few races with rf2 and raceroom at 75%... . And tbh I can't feel a freaking difference .. Apart from having to use stronger ffb in game. Linearity IF there is any, I don't think can be felt even if looking at graphs showing there's a difference.

    What I am interested in if it does prolong the life of my wheel.

    And interested to see the above video

    Just read this too...

    I've made a quick simulation in MATLAB of what I was talking about. We can see that travel is different for the same torque after speed limit is reached.

    I simplified the case using the same constant speed for every torque... in reality it varies. I don't know how to simulate that correctly but I think this still gives an acceptable approximation of what happens.

    My wheel has never broken and does not heat at all.

    Why would not you try the adjustment in its entirety rather than say that it is bad ? ;)

    75% and 1 = 100% and 0.75 by the way ....

    Right now, for me, the Mercedes have the best FFB of all. The next ones are Bentley and Porsche 911 RSR.
    After the last car´s updates, the other ones lost a lot of sensations, how if they have some of smoothing.

    BTW, my T300 config is:

    .cpl---> 75/100/100/0/0 and centered by the game.
    .json---> Torque capability 3.9 ( nM of T300 ) and off road 1.0
    Ingame---> Minimum torque 3, smoothing 0.

    Amazing feelings in all cars till the last car´s updates.

    i couldnt trust wheel check from the begining
    it always gives different results so i cannot set correctly my minmum FFB torque

    Nope that stopped working when RF2 went DX11.

    With DAMPlugin you can check FFB clipping.
    The Pedal Overlay Plugin was working at dx9 old days not with current dx11.

    You have to download the latest motec and damplugin software.

    The installation is easy.

    Then just make sure that damplugin records during the game, and you find a damplugin log that opens in motec.

    Then you select something whose name is something like: FFB output. It goes from -100 to 100.

    It has to go on Sebring with something like a GT3 car, ffb has to go rarely to 100 or -100, avoiding the vibrators and the grass but driving fast.

    Correct me if I'm wrong and sorry for the approximations.

    And the clipping tool will work, if you use the steam launcher to go back to v1109beta. you can do your testing, setup your wheel and then return, again using the Steam launcher, to the Non-beta status which will put you back to the latest version of rF2.
    I'd write or note the setting values you come up with, I don't know if the changes you make in the old version will migrate back to the latest.

    So just having bought a tspc racer I thought I'll try the merc and see if the stronger wheel helps. Indeed it's better the drop off isn't as bad as the t300 but it's still worse than the other cars in the same class.
