I have RF2 open in windowed mode in showroom, and then every time I overwrite the DDS to use as my skin I hit reload and it'll apply the updates that way. Good for testing lighting on colours and making sure lines add up.
I know it´s a lot of dedicated time to do it......But i wish to see more DAYTONA 2019 GT3, LMP1 liveries....... https://sportscarchampionship.imsa.com/teams https://imsatv.imsa.com/
What's going on with the lights? Track and car, looking a bit ordinary! Is this what low res looks like?
The car is the latest Aston Martin "paid" mod from S397. So why is there a materials issue? I want buy it. I've got the others and can pick the crap out off all of them for bad graphics. From what I've read here these new GT3 pack cars are worse! Stupid mistakes that should never be in a "free" mod, let alone a "paid" one! Track lights overwritten??? By what? This materials naming issue that has plagued rF2 from the start is total crap. No other game has this and rFactor never had such a thing. So why is it in rF2 at all? After 7 years off rF2 it's still creating problems. Makes no sense that so many things that came up right from the first release off rF2 7 years ago are still causing headaches today.
It's because of that extra step that's new for the pbr, however s397 still haven't released their guide for it (or any info for that matter)...
S397: "...soon" I think, it makes no sense to judge the quality of a private artwork as long as the guide and templates are not released. I'm actualy only make the base designs of my GT3 liveries and will wait with the finalization until I've got the guide.
Wow, never ment to get the forum furious Calm down a little bit The Daytona mod is nod the most beautiful Modtracks in terms of mash and so on, i think also the lighting isn´t the best. So that´s no problem of low res or rF2, it´s simply the track mod. The second Problem is, that there are no templates at the moment and the tool for the new materials system also isn´t released yet. So this skin is done on the dds and with no alphas, so there are no different shadings on the materals of the car. There is no need to rage about rF2 and in my opinion the GT3 are worth their money The skin will be reworked, when the templates and the tool is released, also with a less dominant silver logodesign on the green basecoat, but it has been a matter of time, because the skin deadline for the first race, was last friday
With the new pbr shaders no AO layer is required for the skin itself. Anyway, could we please stop these off-topic discussions and complaints here? Wait for the docs and templates to be released soon. Also file a compliant in the respective forum if you want to. Thank you.
@juanchioooo: these S397 guys are doing the best as they can. They'll try to give you good working content. Please take a look at the ACC crap. You will get a 20% ready game and every month you'll get a bit more and your system is working a bit less... This isn't a concept that I will support... I have been working on the new GT3 liveries for 4 weeks and yes, I'm nervous and excited but I also have to wait...
None of my remarks mention the skins at all! Read it right before you drag me into you worthless argument! @Coutie How about a clean up in here. Not the thread for this.
It must be that I understood something wrong, it could be for the translator, excuse me, anyway if this thread is to speak of skins it is you who uselessly invalidates the thread,@Frank Murphy I agree with you
