Yeah, some tracks has really nice details if you actually look around.

 

I used to have a big database of tracks in my head, but can't recognize this. Zandvoort?

Everything except the cars (grass, tarmac, grandstabs, spectators, ...) ruins it for me. Looks so dated this way.

He is most likely running the sim with shadows on low, so everything looks a bit floaty. It is a mod track converted from AMS, so I wouldn't expect AAA quality from people who do this stuff in their free time. The track is still great for night racing and the best option we have for Road Atlanta. It's your loss

Thanks both for taking it so well. I’m new to rf2. It’s massively confusing what is old / new / third party content, displayed in low / medium / high / ultra quality. No offense to anyone’s hard work to add the content, especially in their free time.

 

Now that is good lighting, (personal opinion)...nicely composed

 

No problem. With a sandbox like rF2 different levels of quality in terms of content or graphic settings are to be expected and it can be a bit confusing for people who aren't used to such systems. Some people don't like to try out mods and want to have a nice package with consistent quality in content, but I consider it as something really nice to try out different cars and tracks and to expand the experience. I really like open and moddable games, as I come from ArmA and Battlefield. So when I found rFactor, it was like a candy store and it still is. This is how the track can look in other conditions and cirumstances:
