Moin! @ ChiegWiggum: Do you and your team have plans to convert your superb 1971 F1 mod from rf! to rF2? Or did you give the permission to someone else to do that yet...? Your F1 mods are outstanding!
For the past week I've been asking myself, what do I want for Christmas? The answer was "Nothing", until I read this post. I want F1 1986 for Christmas also.
Hello, I don't know if it can be usefull for you, but another team and I are preparing a 86-87 mod for rfactor1, based on conversion of F1C, but not only. For exemple I had to create the Zakspeed because the F1C model was very ugly. It's not perfect but it may help, I can give you the files if you want...
I'm no pro but - Did the boost really kick in that violent in those days? You have nothing and once you get near 11,000RPM you get all of it, 80% throttle doesn't even give you half of it. I don't think it's like that in other sims and games, in AC, pCars 1&2, F1 2018, etc. It's applied more smoothly. Not sure if rFactor 2 is a limiting factor in this, because I don't think they ever got turbos right... Same with real life, I've been watching 1986 and 1987 races lately and they don't exit every corner skidding sideways praying they don't hit a wall, the rears were looking planted during the 1987 San Marino Grand Prix which I just watched yesterday. I think that in race trim the turbos spooled up more smoothly and was controllable, it was just qualifying trim that tried to kill you. If you can see an on board shot from those days where you can see the needle, you can see that the boost is applied just a bit more smoothly. But that's just my opinion. I'm bouncing off every wall at Adelaide. :| Other than that, the physics feel great, suspension, tyres and everything is perfect also. I only have a G27 but I like what I'm feeling... Edit: Feels better at Imola. Maybe I should choose better tracks to test at.
first I must say, the physic is not from postipate or me, so I'm impartially, for me I must say that the car feels very driveable compare to the first physic from postipate maybe we can find out with this link how it was 1986 to drove this cars..... http://gtspirit.com/2014/05/31/the-most-powerful-f1-car-ever/
[QUOTE = "ChiefWiggum, post: 969975, membro: 45985"] forse qualcuno può testare il Williams FW11 per favore? https://workupload.com/file/2y2TeM3a [/ QUOTE] the engine sounds like brabham and benetton. is it definitive?
Hi all I am new here and i say thx to the chiefs of this mod! Nice work! At the era of this cars i was 16 and can remember the Television-Broadcasts in German TV For me the F1 ends in the 21 century.... or so.... In any simulation i drive, (iRacing and rFactor2 atm) i prefer the late 60/70/80 and the F1 till the mid 90ties. When Racing was dangerous and sex was safe Oldschool!
After driving the FW11 for a few laps, I took a few notes that I want to share: - Tires heat up too much in the middle (reminds me of the first tire model, before the CPM). - Looks like this car has the physics of the BMW engine (turbo spools up after 10000 rpm, while on the V6 cars the turbos sooled up after 9000rpm) -Tires lack the rubbery feeling of the newest tire model, once again reminding me of the tire model before CPM -The sounds could use some improvement (not a priority though) But despite this things, it is a huge fun to drive. But if it was me, I'd use the V6 engine physics on all cars for the league edition, because they are a little easier to drive than the inline 4, as the turbos kick in earlier. That being said, I can't wait to try the cars with postipate's physics Cheers and keep up the great work
thx guys for your impressions ok, new try, now the FW11 use the correct physic for the car, I drove it also in adelaide and it feels really good for me, please delete the first version before https://workupload.com/file/rXMPctbr
Just tried the FW11 with the correct physics! I prefer the balance of this car, maybe setup related, I don't know, but it feels like it understeers way less... The tires still have the symptoms I mentioned before (too much overheating in the middle and a bit of a plasticky feeling, just like the tire model before CPM). But this is nothing that compromises the mod! Maybe the newest tire model can be added in the future. Other thing is that the engine sound may be a bit too loud. About all the rest, the car is a blast to drive. Never had this much fun driving a car in RF2! And btw, I think that this physics are more suiter for the league edition. Can't wait to try thr rest of the cars Cheers
