    ok, first laps in v1.50. The Chappy is a little more stable under braking vs v1.49. Previously I was testing at Longford but for this test switched to the Le Grand Course .50. I got braver each lap and tried to find shorter straights I could flatten the wing. After about 3 laps I kept the wing flat over the hump at the end of the Mulsaane.....WHOOOO! Front end came up and off the ground. The car remained stable and I recovered it before the turn. Next lap I was actually going faster but put the wing down before reaching the hump. Gawd this is fun...brain tells my left foot to clutch, Mouth says...noooo! wing goes flat entering a corner....lol

    Two of them are not in the right AI group in-game.
    #62 is in GT instead of Sp3.0/5.0
    #58 is in Pr1.1 instead of Pr1.1/1.3

    The last time I checked the mod out was before the visual changes, and I have to say, it's quickly becoming one of my favorite rF2 mods. The amount of variety here is just massive.

    The variety might have caught me out with the classes/icons/reference material.
    I think #62 should be in the Sp3.0/5.0 class as you and the icon say.
    I think #58 should be in Pr1.1 as it is, but the icon is wrongly saying 1.1/1.3, and it has the wrong car performance (1.3/1.3 instead of 1.1)

    So, whenever it's updated, #62 will be grouped in Sp3.0/5.0
    and #58 will have the smaller engine and the icon will say Pr1.1

    53 out of 55 isn't bad :D

    Strangely, #38 and #39 are categorized in the icon AND in the AI Filter as Proto 1.6/2.0, but get shoved into the Sport 1.6/2.0 class when the race loads.

    Hey Everyone! G4 '67 Endurance mod updated to v1.51 on the workshop
    Only a minor update to correct the issues found by @Rujasu in the previous few posts.
    Should only be a small update in terms of file size. I think steam can pick and chose which files have changed.
    If the icons don't appear to have the correct info still, perhaps unsub and resub? The files I've uploaded are corrected.
    Let me know if it's broken, or if you're really into these cars :D

    Thanks for making this great mod. There is a mod for Rfactor1 from the same era for the can-am race series that would be another great addition to Rfactor2. Converting the Can-am 5.5 mod with the addition of what you have done with the rear wing and front flap of the Chaparral 2F would make another great mod for RFactor2. By 196768 there were about a dozen cars, including McLaren, Lola, and Ferrari with wings like the Chaparral.

    Steam automatically downloaded and installed the update to your 67 mod.

    Yeah, stuff like that would be nice
    I think this mod is as far as i'll be going with cars, but i'd be happy for someone to work with it if it helped get more historic content rolling.

    For me, it's a bit sad that stuff like this isn't the main attraction in real motorosport and sims. They have lots of great engine sounds, lots of great body shapes, lots of legendary divers, lots of sliding to go fast, and reasonable overtaking.
    Isn't this what people say they want? o_O
    Maybe it's just because the brakes aren't carbon, and the tyres are a bit average, and the aero is weak.
    I guess there is a sweet spot of performance and pleasure, somewhere. Maybe the 70's are the new GPL

    From what I was reading in the guide to converting Rfactor1 cars to RFactor2 the process is mostly a matter of taking the time to unpack, re-organized, replacing the tires?, and repacking the files in a different organization. Of course adding the flap function would be additional as would be adding wings to the appropriate Lola, McLaren, and Ferrari models along with the correct skins. Almost all of them were made years ago for the Sports Car GT sim

    If you don't mind doing conversions from other games, the McLaren M1B from Simraceway and the Chaparral 2E from Forza 7 completes about 98% of the '66 Can Am grid. I think there was a GT40 and a couple one off cars in there that would complete the whole grid. I just do not anticipate any good quality scratch built ones to ever be done.

    All 3 of those have been on my conversion list, but just haven't had the time to work on them.

    The Rfactor1 Can-Am mod has about half the different chassis, such as the Chaparral 2E and 2G, that raced in it The Lola T163, McLaren M8b, and others can be adapted from the existing models included in it. The Lola T70 already exists, There is a Ford GT 40 on another forum that could be modified to the open topped version. While I could probably convert the mod from Rfactor1 to 2 I am not sure if I could make the skins or other modifications, such as adding the wings, to the mas files along with any other adjustments that might need to be done. I did do a lot of work on tracks and some cars for Sportscar GT, but that was quite a few years ago and not as complex as RFactor. The McLaren M1B is the only chassis missing from the 1966 season.
