    Hiya,

I recently did some liveries for the S397 Oreca.

    File naming example:
    alt55.dds
    alt55window.dds
    alt55driver.dds
    alt55helmet.dds

Combined into a MAS file alt55.MAS

    Files saved as DXT5 DDS

For some reason when we went to race on the server last night the liveries were not loaded and I'm not sure why.

The MAS file is quite large at about 30-40MB but that's not usually an issue. I did a 4k texture for the URD DTM car once which was 40MB in size and that was fine (there was about five files in the MAS collection)

The only thing that has gone through my mind is the previous version of the MAS file was just the bodywork and the window and that worked fine.

Do the driver and helmet files need to be DXT1 maybe?

Is there a size limit on livery file uploads? Maybe I need to shrink the files more?

Or is the MAS utility on RF2 just a bit flaky? lol

Sorry for all the questions, just trying to understand what might be going wrong.

    Thanks, Andrew :)

The previous version of the mas had the same name? When you update your skin online in the same server, you have to use a different name, otherwise it won't be overrided. So, if your previous skin is alt55, your new can be alt55v2 for example (it's just a name). Of course all the DDS must have the same name and the mas too.

Right, gotcha. I did wonder if it was some interesting little detail that needed sorting. The wonders of RF2. haha.

Thanks for that I will give it a try and thanks again :)

I'd recommand having a more "personnal" skin naming, in order to limit the risk of somebody else taking the same.
    Something like "NicknameVehicle_v0alt"
