    Hi everyone,

I am having an issue with a building roof, where it casts a shadow, but it is still very light on the underside. In this case it is a tin roof. As you can see from the screen shot is is not dark underneath the roof panel.

I am not sure how t fix this. Thank you in advance for any tips. Mike

Is it just a single sided plane? If so, that's why.

So double sided plane? OK I will see how to do that. Thanks :)

This is different to double side texture?

Cool....What I ended up doing was extruding the poly by 0.01, selected the lower border, press cap...and it now is dark underside.

I had a look around on Max forums and this seemed the easiest way. :)

We dont use 2 sided materials now in rf2 for that exact reason.
If i don't need to extrude I don't. I just highlight the poly or ploys I need detach from object copy (cntrl V) flip faces and join the 2 objects back to the main object.
You can also highlight the polys hold cntrl and move the polys. This will make copies of the polys then flip faces again if needed.
