Hi Why are the replays in rfactor2( VR) in 2d? I just noticed that today. In AC it’s in 3d while in rfactor2 it is in big screen but only 2d. I really like the replay in AC specially for hot laps and it was really like assisting a real life race. Did I missed something?
I can't give you an answer as I don't have and haven't used VR but the rF2 replay files are not an actual video but just data of the cars position etc. So to me that would mean that how it looks whilst driving or watching a replay should be the same. Does that make sense, if I'm correct?
Thanks for the replay but I don’t know but it really makes a big difference watching the replays in AC in 3d it’s like sitting there in the crowd in a real life racing while in rfactor2 it’s in a big 2d screen. It’s a big shame.
When i watch replay in vr i don't have a big 2d screen, i got two big 2d screen , one is fixed on the right and the one on the left is normal/2d it's not usable , i don't know if there are option on the player file to mess with?
For me VR replays in rF2 are a flat massive screen in from of me , it look nice but definitely not 3D like all other VR Sims . AC has the best VR replays by far and rF2 are just like watching TV with a HMD on .
@GTClub_wajdi I must apologise for derailing your thread with my attempted "humour". I am not one to delete anything I post but I will if you want me too. This post is my doing and I have had no one contact me about this matter. Sometimes, in retrospect, humour can be anything but.
IMO I prefer the large 2d screen for viewing replays. Maybe give us the option to swap between large 2d screen and viewing in 3d Studio 397?
A big +1 for me on that too. I really liked that about AMS2 (that and the pretty graphics was about the only thing). At Brands Hatch I could stand in the boxes and almost see the whole track. It's really something.
