rfactor2 singleplayer not launching

First post on here. A few days ago, the single player started to take really long to launch, and it doesn't launch it all now. I saw a post from a steam question, and that didn't help either. I'm not really sure what to do, I've already tried to uninstall to game and get it back and tried to delete extra workshop content. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

 

I have this problem today. I purchased DLC packs, now rF2 won't launch.

Tried unsubscribe and restart.

 

And if that doesn't do it, then delete content of "rFactor 2/UserData/Log/CBash" and "rFactor 2/UserData/Log/Shaders"

 

Thanks for the help - I can see the DLC mods have installed when I open rFactor2 application! Thankyou for that tip!

But rF2 will still not launch single player mode.

I've deleted files in UserData/Log/ also...

Does it launch Multiplayer ? And allow joining a server ?

I'd try to create a new Player. Backup your current, and delete it, then create new and make sure to also run video-settings again. I assume that you don't have any unsupported plugins installed ?

 

I had the exect same problem. With me multyplayer also doesn’t work. How can you make a new player or something?

 

Close rF2
Move the ...\rFactor 2\UserData folder to your desctop (for example)
Open rF2
rF2 will create automatically the UserData folder.
You'll have to assign your controls again.

Hi, if i remember correctly you had problems to run rF2 with a laptop and you were thinking on buying a new PC.
Do you have the new computer?

 

Nah man. Im kinda broke and it’s really expensive etc

 

If you're using the new UI (public beta), rF2 will not launch with any kind overlay running: Steam Overlay, Fraps, Nvidia Frameview <~ They all prevent rF2 from launching.

Disable new UI and no problem with overlays.

 

Omfg it worked. I can play now but sadly enough i lost my dlc pack. I can’t drive formula e cars and that’s is something i really wanted. Maybe any idea if i can get the dlc back

 

So much thanks to lagg. I can finaly play this game. It chashed but i was able to start it again. I think i got my dlc back and im so f*ckin happy. Thank you soooooo much lagg

 

I haven’t been able to play it cause my brother wants to play another game but im soo excited to play it. Im so thankful to lagg. Wish you all the best dude. And for the person who has the problem nowadays i hope you will get as excited as i am right now cause you can play the game. I hope you can help more people if you want to(lagg). Could you describe what's your problem?
What are your system specs?

 

I got my pc back which was for several days. I had rFactor 2 before this failure. Now the game does not launch anymore despite a good pc and that I was able to launch it without problem before
NVIDIA 1060 6gb
Intel I5 7600
16gb Ram

 

Could you describe what's happening to you?
