Very interesting. If 20 FPS could be gained that would be rather crazy. Has anyone updated yet? :)

Tried it but said my card was already updated.... so no improvements then? :) FWIW though, had some poor performance with the 398.xx drivers, and now back to 390.65 and sims seem to run fine. What driver are you currently using?

As posted on Discord I did require that Firmware Update but it did not massively improve performance for me, the marginal improvement seen in the graph below could be simply down to the update or even a clean reboot.
From what I gather the performance increase is for those that a running Rift connections through an HDMI Port into their standard Display adapter I think, I run straight to HDMI.

I don´t belief it and i am really sure that this is stuff. The firmware has no influence on performance. The only purpose of the whole thing is to fix a certain bug at the rear ports .The firmware is only used to control the additional hardware components. This has absolutely nothing to do with the control of the GPU, which is done by the driver

Not a lock to horizon option, but 3 levels of stabilising the head movement.
For me personally enough and a huge improvement.

Can anyone recommend some Graphic settings for the Vive Pro? I'm trying my best to get rFactor2 looking good and can't figure out which settings to use. I currently have a 1080Ti, 8700k OC @ 4.8, 32gb, running off an M2 SSD.

Anyone with a similar rig, can you please let me know what your SteamVR settings are and in-game graphics settings?

    Thanks in Advance!

Your mileage may vary, but here's my settings for Samsung Odyssey (same pixel count as the Pro I think), 8600K@5Ghz + 1080ti+16GB:

    1) I've enabled whatever the Vive equivalent of the 45fps ASW is.
    2) In Steam VR, I'm running at 200% pixel count
    3) In rF2 launcher: AA level 4, PP medium, VR: HMD only
    4) In rF2 settings:
    Circuit detail: High
    Player detail: High
    Opponent detail: Medium
    Texture detail: High
    Texture filtering: X16
    Special FX: Medium
    Shadows: Max
    Shadow Blur: Fast
    Soft Particles: Low
    Rain: Off
    Road reflections: Low
    Environment reflections: Low
    Stabilize Horizon: High
    Visible Vehicles: 28
    5) Then in player.json
    "Opponent Texture Override":3,
    "Player Texture Override":3,
    "Rearview_Back_Clip":150,

With the above, I seem to be able to race with a field of 50 cars of any time at any track in most conditions. Only the heaviest cars on the heaviest tracks at dusk seem to bring my system under 45fps.

Of course, if you're someone that can't handle ASW, then all of the above goes out the window.

Overall, I'm very happy with my current level of graphical detail. Especially compared to 6 months ago, when I had to set everything on low and only draw 8 cars.

I found Visible Vehicles in Display settings but couldn't find the option that said Stabilize Horizon: High

So I set everything else up and so far it looked amazing. I had a bit of stutter on the Longford Track with the Nissan GTR, but I dropped SteamVR SS to 150% and I'll try again later. Thank you again. Those settings came out pretty good! I appreciate the help.

Lock To Horizon should be the bottom left on the Display options-tab and visible vehicles on the top right of the same tab.
