    Hello.

I want to convert tracks from Assetto Corsa to RF2.

    EXCLUSIVELY PRIVATE, FOR PRIVATE USE.

Do you have a tutorial ?
I downloaded 3DSIMED, with the MAS tool, is that enough ?

And is it accessible to a real beginner, and can it be done in one afternoon if I'm doing well ?

    Thank you !

PS: if you have winding tracks, hillclimb, rally : I would be very very grateful if you share them with me ! Thank you

    There is no tutorial.
There are tutorials about how to set up the folder structure and files required and search paths for the scn. So check them out.
    3dsimed can do the job.
Load the track in 3dsimed and adjust all the materials to rf2 shaders.
Rename all the mandatory material names
Rename all the realroad objects with racesurface_.
Set the tags of all the objects and export as rf2 gmt.
Then use the contents of _output.scn and paste into your scn.
The biggest thing I have learned from modding is patience. Depending on your knowledge you could get a basic conversion done in an afternoon BUT it will have issues and could look heaps better.
Be prepared for a few more afternoons

Understand that AC uses a "not-displayed" physical layer for the driving surfaces & walls and the "displayed" layer is only for visual. A straight conversion of the visual track will get you something that looks right in rF2, but it won't be as detailed in feeling as it would be in AC.
