I agree, and more "spitty", in used to splatter out the power. I remember seeing and hearing this car in real life, and while revving I could've sworn it (if a car could) said "Brabham... brabham..." loool EDIT: a bit like this lol
First of all, thank you very much for bringing us this famous era of F1 history. The BT55 looks and drives very good. My only gripe with it is the turbo. From everything I heard, this car should have a noticable turbo lag. Currently the turbo doesn't have a lag, it doesn't work at all below roughly 9,500 rpm. In other words, you can stand on full throttle for ages, but the turbo doesn't move until the mentioned rpm. It may not produce over 4 bar in low revs, but shouldn't it at least start to spin? Trying to be constructive, my suggestion would be to look at the (static) friction of the turbo, it may be too high. In the second video nericksenna posted, one can here the turbo spooling up in low revs, although I think the Renault engine used a twin turbo, which generally suffered less lag, but as I said it is not really about the lag, but about the turbo don't spooling up at all. Beside some textures, that need some DX11 love, I also get a strange flickering error on the gauges: Looks like two textures overlaying and figthing each other. (Player and texture details are "medium"... Damn those modern high poly content with ultra high resolution textures) Keep up the great work and we will have a great field of formula one cars pretty soon.
Nice, that looks like a crisper wheel. When this cockpit is finished and with AO baked, it's going to be gorgeous .
Beautiful car, chief. Front suspension aero is sticking out a little too much, with the top of the sidepods looking a little thin too. Front wing is a bit on the short side in the 3D model: Let me know if you'd like help with driving and physics feedback. Loving the progress.
I think you can scale up the helmet just a wee bit more... just a little bit... like almost the same width as the front tyre. Check out Guimengo's image to compare
Top front suspension assembly is a bit too high also, top tips to follow profile of sidepods it seems.. no?
Indeed front wings were a little bit too short, but nevermind, now it's a great work ! the car looks almost real !
