another nice performance boost & unexpected to Enabled to turn up a few settings I didn’t realise how good rfactor2 looks now , imo better than other sims Worth a test if you have not all ready Option is in the main launcher ( settings / video )
Glad your uping your settings a bit , always seemed sad to me you have a 1080ti and always run Low settings , i can manage nearly Max settings in VR and get a good 90 fps mostly . I think you would benifit greatly from a CPU upgrade . It would help you get the most from you 1080ti .
I will give it a try here shortly, but I don't understand what it does. Any information on aggressive threading?
Zero idea what it does , But I seem to remember it be stated as something that could help “older” cpu’s Holding to my observations that the sandy bridge was the best cpu ever invented i never tried the option But I guess I have to accept that dandy bridge is now kind of old But maybe that’s goodcas this option works & is useful I’ll upgrade my mobo/mem/cpu prior to uk winter but I’m the meantime this option is a great facility Thankyou studio397
Aggressive threading at least on my PC limits the threads so the game ends up using less cores of the CPU. AFAIK it was a setting that was meant for old CPU's. But who knows, it's another thing that lacks documentation and nobody really knows.
I'm running a freshly built g4560/1050ti and there is a noticeable difference here with clarity with aggressive threading on. That's strange, everything I've read said to leave it off. Oh well, my eyes don't lie so thank you for the thread.
It helps, when i am running other things like the browser or tools on the secound screen. When running rF2 and music only it makes no difference, but i didnt tested it with like 60+ cars on track. 4670K@4.2 here.
I did the test, with and without exactly the same configuration / settings: With or without = even the SAME FPS MINIMUM. On the other hand, with the aggressive threading = stuttering. i5 2500K + GTX 780 + PCIe 16X 2.0.
