Mauricio used two forum accounts in this thread, both new and only used a couple of times. Is this a conspiracy now? :D

Edit: I don't think so. S397's has a deeper rear ring, but of course they could've easily changed that over development. Hmm...

Edit 2: I think S397 are focusing on the 1975 season, as that's when both BT44 and March 761 were used. The March 761 was introduced in 1975, and BT44 in 1974, but the March was used until '76, and Brabham had the BT44B in 1976. I'm not complaining.

Considering that the upcoming March 761 and the McLaren M23 were done by Mauricio, it is pretty safe to say that there is some kind of partnership. Considering that he also started the Hesketh and the Lotus 77 this could be a sign that the M23 isn't the end of the line. But I am not sure how easy it is to get the lisences for a pack like the F1 76 season, and especialy Lotus could get a bit tricky. Hesketh doesn't exist anymore obviously, but it might be difficult to find out who holds the rights. How ever this turns out, pretty exciting times ahead. Those cars together with Charade by PIXSIM or other historic tracks would be like heaven.

I've missed out on some details then, as I was unaware of the McLaren and Lotus appearing. Looks like the news was only posted yesterday, but great news! :)

Don't quote me on the Lotus :D

you can actually see the Lotus and the Hesketh on page 3 here in this threat, but it would be too good to be true to get five cars from 75/76. I think Lotus has more strict lisencing contracts, thatswhy you have the tons of different Lotus versions in AC. Would be great to get this great looking car nevertheless. Among the ones that Mauricio started it's the most sexy from my POV, though they are all great ofcourse.

Getting a license for 1976 F1 would be difficult, not to mention expensive. I don't think FOM themselves are fans of licensing out old seasons either, and Codemasters has the exclusive rights I think.

However they COULD license half or most of the cars separately from their manufacturers and package it as a "Historic Grand Prix" pack, avoiding FOM and F1 altogether since they aren't using/licensing the F1 product. Would be nice to get some tracks too, though most of them are already available as third party content on the Steam workshop.

I wonder if they could release it along with the championships update they're apparently working on (I heard), and have this as the first championship. That'll be pretty cool. I'm only dreaming though lol

Be good to have the whole 76' season, but if only the Ferrari, Lotus, Mclaren, & Tyrrel
