Hi, The problem of this simulation is that it is primarily for developers, which puts this simulation in a closed circle! And for non-programmers, but who bought this simu, NOTHING is done at the documentation level to help them understand a minimum setting options. This is really frustrating!
You got it! 1000 times discussed here in forum. Devs are working on a documentation. Is only a question of years, so dont hold your breath!
Is there is something specific you are looking for? As long as you are not trying to make a vehicle or track, the answer might be able to be given to you.
for starters, this refers to the settings related to the steering wheel. 1) -filter of the steering couple? 2) - Rotation rate 3) -Sense speed 4) -point of view L / R 5) -Defining the lace and explain what can change the size by putting more or less%. 6) And if I wanted to create a mode in this game career mode that is really a real frustration to not have that. Can you tell me in which type of programming language, not too difficult to learn, should we use? Would it be possible to create in Html and Css, because I saw small soft type dashboard made in this language (JRT)?
Christy -very very frustrating at first but stick with it, rfactor2 is more like a very advanced platform for simulation to be made upon, find something you like and tune into it and the reward is far greater than other sims lots of quick help on discord I'm a bit of a fiddler so it was pretty much trial & error for me but this was really back in the early rfactor 1 days so rfactor 2 was easier to get into PS filter I think for ffb is an average out of signal points to smooth the ffb effect, keep it off or as low as poss, only use if your ffb effect feels gritty or to aggressive, the rest are minor things, rotation rate just keep ticked so its as the sim car set -if your real wheel doesn't match the virtual wheel then change your real rotation or uncheck in sim to match your real wheel rotation hardware setting
This may be of help, it helped me when I first started with RF2. Some of it may be out of date with the new builds. https://www.racedepartment.com/threads/rfactor-2-game-guide-and-f-a-q.119019/
This may be helpful if you want create a race series. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=554544322
Your welcome, the more support RF2 gets the better. It's the best driving sim I have ever played, tried Asseto Corsa and Race Room for about 100 hrs, they just don't come close to RF2 for feel of what the car is doing. Got about 4000 hrs on RF2 according to steam. Please persevere with RF2 it worth it in the end.
