Official GT3 cars in Suzuka (matsusaka), preferably with at least 20 cars, which is a normal grid in online leagues. My bet is: there's no performance gain in these conditions.

Guys, please tell me if I have to :

    - Deactivate some cores of my i5 2500K
    OR
    - Deactivate the multi-threading on my i5 2500K

I use my PC only for RF2.

    Thank's.

Yep, i5 you shouldn't have that option, for i7 you can test disabling HT, but HT is almost never a problem. HT allows the game to run more threaded if the game is coded that way, but nothing in HT prevents the game from just using four threads at full power, like in an i5.

After some more driving/testing I have to say that even on same fps gfx is much smoother in this new build. I guess that is because of more constant "frame time" as stated in release blog.
Only now I realized I had microstutters all the time.
So that is biggest gain imo. Finally rf2 is fluid.

I had this exact thing when going from 6600k to 7700k .
People always said games were smoother with an i7 but never really thought I was having stutters with my i5 until getting this CPU .

And yes this build is a really nice one .
    Thanks S397 .

I have done other tests and my results say that the night is the configuration that kills the FPS (for me it is over -50% and little fluid I can say unplayable). With DX9 it did not happen because the difference between day and night was minimal. Rain is another situation that reduces FPS, not like it happens for the night but I still believe it is too much for the impact. If you put night and rain together at the moment the situation is very bad.
I have a triple monitor configuration, maybe something is still not working well for this configuration, it would be useful to know from those who have excellent results if he tried to drive at night and in the rain.

    @Marcel Offermans
Do you think there is something that is not yet good in this release when you drive at night with three screens ?

Honestly, there was a performance increase, but quite minimal, there are some configurations (GT3, night, rain) that still makes rF2 struggle a lot... was expecting a lot more to be honest.

Superb work on this build. Been away from rF2 for a year or so because of various things but this build feels silky smooth on my triple screen rig. Running 20 GT3 AI at Silverstone in a race was a complete joy. Falling in love all over again ...

    Running lower end setup... G4560/1050ti
    Everything set on high/ultra.
Before I had mild frame stutter running 80fps with 10 cars on track in dry conditions.
Now with everything the same I'm running 120fps with NO stutter.... fantastic job this is the only sim I race.
If I go above 10-12 cars it drops back to 60fps, if I add rain I've seen it dip to 20fps.
My system does not like rain and I'll just have to keep cars on track count low.
I don't mind as I love this sim and know I have hardware restraints.

Great job with this build S397. It addresses the main issues related to performance and I am currently enjoying the best sim experience ever.
I have an i7-6700K, GTX 1080TI, 16 GB RAM, triple screen 1080p and I got a 35% FPS gain on average, but most importantly, very smooth game play. I have almost everything at max with PP in low and rF2 looks amazing. I hope those of you who are still struggling with performance can find what the problem is with rF2 / system so you can start enjoying it.

A major step in the right direction. Big thanks to everyone at S397

Is there any documentation that explains what each graphic settings does visually and how does affect CPU, GPU, memory usage?

Thx for this Update. Made the vr experience more smooth. Now please also make it possible to race in the rain. Impossible because of 2 things. Fps in vr. And AI pitting BUG. Please make it a priority so we Can all enjoy your new rain effects.
