rf2 stopped working

hi to all . just had the new 1110 update installed and verified the files on steam all ok ..when i get to the launcher and select the single icon the rf2 logo appears then a message comes in a pop up that says RF2 has stopped working ..how can i fix this

 

Try running your video settings first.

 

hi marcel have checked my video settings all ok same as before 1920x1080 . 60hz gtx1080ti. fullscreen no vr . but no luck

 

What version did you use before?

Another thing to try is to make sure the runtimes in the support folder are installed You can double click them It does not hurt if you do that more than once, so worth a shot

 

hi marcel i was on 1109 before..i went to the support folder there where 4 files there double clicked on each one and did a repair on 2 of them and installed the other two .still no luck same problem pop up window still says rf2 has stopped working .. i also uninstalled each file then reinstalled each file x64 and x86 2012 x64 and x86 2013 still the same problem...

 

hi marcel I re installed v1109- and that has the same problem ..although it did work before i updated to 1110..have reinstalled 1110 and did a steam verify of the files all ok but still get the pop up window RF2 has stopped working . Regards Denis

HI ADSTA. i have try nearly all of those suggestions the only thing i have not done is rivatuner as i do not have, at this time i am doing a new install but with my slow internet only 200 KB/s will take more than one day ..thanks for the info

 

Do you have any plugins installed?

the only plugins i have are the standard rf2 plugins as i was on 1109- before and that was working ok I hope the new install will fix the problem just have to wait another 22hours for the download to finish ..thanks for the reply

 

Bluet - this is the page on my system that shows the plugins. If you have anything other than those that show as 'On' on my system activated, rF2 under DX11 will not start. Hope this helps.

 

HI MARK the plugins that are ON is the same as yours THANKS FOR THE REPLY just waiting for the fresh install to finish downloading

 

Make sure you unsubscribe from all the workshop content when that download starts if you don't want that time estimate changed to days, not hours.
