No need to do that... a clean hud is better than tons of info.. The inferior bar of track position is better than a track map... And for change the LCD hud just put easy access button on the wheel... xD

I never said every single player should be forced to use full hud, all I'm saying is that there should be the OPTION to have all the info on the screen at the same time, I turn the option on, you turn the option off, in the end everybody is happy. ;)

Doesn't look like I got improvement on my config, wich is :

    i5 4670K 3.40 GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 Gaming 4Go
    16 Go DDR3 1.07 GHz
    Single screen ASUS VE278 27"
    SSD SamsungSSD 850EVO 250GB + SSHD Seagate 1To
    Windows 10 ‎(X64)‎

I cleared CBash & Shaders folders after the update and before launching again.
I know it's clearly not high end pc and you had problems with bigger configurations that were not having the performance they should have had but I reckon that I still expected some gains for an update that is devoted to performance improvement on all area that is possible.

Also, I can't get the replay to work correctly, it's stopped during a session if I try to watch it.
I don't understand why on the new HUD we don't get the red rev limit timing at any point to tell us we're in that zone.
And the delta bar is quite big, but I'm sure people will find a way to configure thoses in wich way the users like it.

This update is fantastic. But I would like to draw attention to the showroom.
It was better before or now the car looks like an old game 20 years ago?
The occlusion environment is missing, the colors of the cars do not match those in game.
What do you think about it?

Thank You, for making the game complately unplayable, gpu load 3% wooot, massive stuttering with constant 60 fps, with previous build i could somehow fix it with ctr+f, now even this isnt working, this is really just bad, just bad

Do you have record replays on or off?

    Off.
I had record Hotlap on "On".
If I put record replays on "On" it works.

Most of the people who put it on "Off" were saving stability for online and avoiding bug.

    Finally some noticable changes/improvements! Woohoo!

Maybe it´s just me/my system, but better frametimes/rendering seems definately noticable!
Much more direct reactions from car to my inputs! Seems really as it´s easyer for me now to do better laptimes!

    Some critics:
Car-position bar at the bottom of screen is now useless, as pointer is much too big and there is no reference to where you are on track.
Delta-best-bar(s) seem reacting too extreme. (nonetheless I´m super-happy to have it at all again!)

For my PC the heaviest track was Baku (RaceRfactor)
    i5 4670, 16 gb DDR3, GTX 1060 6Gb, SSD Kingston 240 Gb
Sunny weather was 70-80 FPS (High settings) - now 120-170 FPS (Some high, some full)
Wet was 45-70 (High settings) - now 90-120 (Some high, some full)

    Amazing work! Thanks S397!

Noticeable improvement on my system (i5-7600K/GTX1080), though I have no figures to show by how much. I know it’s only supposed to be performance changes, and it may be just down to the track/time of day combinations I’ve run so far, but the dreaded rFactor 2 glare seems slightly diminished (except for the mirrors!).

I like the new HUD, though it’s not as polished as Wedges. But why is there no shift indication on the tach and isn’t the delta bar back-to-front compared to all other games (and what do the boxes indicate, because it doesn’t seem to be rate of change)? Starting lights would have been nice as well, in fact, an option to replace the delta bar with starting lights during a race session would suit me.

Only a quick test but results are very promising. 45% more FPS than in the last build and 10% more than in the DX9 version. Great job guys.

Amazingly good timing for the new update.
I have been doing a total fresh install of everything, all ssd's formatted, fresh Win 10 and fresh everything else.
I was at the stage of Steam re-installed, then rF2 re-installed.
Quickly went an unsubscribed to all the auto install stuff  and just left the GT3 pack to install.
First start of rF2 and in the Launcher I see the news of the update!
Woo bloody hoo :D :) Couldn't have timed it better.
Now to go read about what you've done before turning the key for the first time.

    Hey guys.
Heard this update is a success, so congrats on that.
Unfortunately I'm unable to run the game in DirectX 11 due to some limitations in my system configurations.
So is there a possible way to get the game to launch in DX9 with the new build release?
    Thanks.

    The delta bar is great
( was this here before ?)

Is there a way of just having the delta bar without the other digits there ? Eg the stuff Top left & right & low Center

    ( I use VR )

I think some noticeable performace gain
    It’s certainly not worse,
    Keep going studio397 it’s apreciated

Damn it reassures me. I am not the only one to have very big problems with this build.

My FPS have enormously, enormously dropped.

I have absolutely checked all the settings (nvidia, UI graphics settings, ingame graphics settings, various settings, choice of car content and exactly the same circuit, etc. + cbash / shader cleared).

I go down to 20 FPS while in exactly the same case from every point of view I almost never go below 40 FPS, but in rare moments.

I wonder if RF2 is still compatible with nvidia's DSR function ?

Just had a quick look, with the caterham and barber west loop,I had no difference what so ever in fps,but for the first time,I could run unlimited fps, without stutters or tearing, before I always had to fps to 84 to have smooth gameplay.

Then I decided to use official content,Silverstone gt with fr 3.5,same again,no fps improvement.but this time I put shadows from low to high and had zero fps decrease.
So for this minimal testing,I’m pleased so far.

Oh my cpu bar wasn’t even 1/4 full and the gpu green bar was, last build cpu was 1/3 full and gpu 3/4 full.

    I5 4690k stock speed. Gtx 1060 6b triple 24” 60hz 1080p,pcie 3.0
