Atleast the X30 lap record should be quite easy to beat. Lowish 38's are easily possible and I think aliens go even quicker. All that within our limited setup and built-in Real Road-presets.

Just bought the Kartsim pack and love it.
Have recommended to a couple of friends already.
Loads of fun.

 

I'm on the bench about the karts, i want it but 17£ hhmmm. I'm not sure. Maybe if its just to support s397, but they haven't polished the FE pack yet, and i wanted to get that!. Im worried contents not being finished and theyre moving onto the next best thing without finalising work. Sorry for the slight negative slant to this post.

 

I agree for the Formula-E it would be necessary the tracks champs, but KartSim is a DLC which is not of the studio (and he's good!)

 

I'm dying for more tracks in rf2, is the HK track good with any other rf2 car?

 

If youve enjoyed karts in the real world then this is a no brainer
+virtual karts are even matched if your competing

Under £20 for 2 karts & 3 tracks is brill value ( but then I’m use to Iracing prices which are much higher than this )

Kartsim content seems nicely polished it’s a great pack

 

This is the argument I'm using. And I don't do iRacing.

 

So it's okay if it's overpriced, so long as it's not as overpriced as iBuying?

 

Even if the price is the same, in rF2 = no need monthly payment to access the content you paid for, in iRacing you do

 

Or in the flight sim world where one airport can set you back 20 quid.

Overpriced compared to what ?
DLC in other titles

Asseto Corsa is cheaper
Iracing is more expensive
DCS world way more expensive

But discard other titles pricing as they are different titles,
Work out if £20 is worth it for you,

I hope my contribution promotes further development & more good DLC
+I feel it’s a bargain

 

pCars DLC are also cheaper. Third party mods sold by the likes of URD are also cheaper.

It's overpriced because the 3 tracks, are small karting tracks under 2 km in length, rather empty with little props and buildings and free lidar data. With the amount of work required for those 3 tracks, you barely get one full car track. If people think the price is right, then S397 might try to sell Sebring for 15€ or more, it would work with some.

 

15€ for a laser scanned track in rfactor2 ....yes please !

If they make good monies on Sebring then they’ll do many more

Again ignoring other titles buy rfactor2 content only if it’s worth it for you

 

What means worried?? They do exactly this all the time! Nothing new sadly.

 

I do not understand how we can think this too expensive :

- Content exactly similar to a REAL professional simulation
- Same physics engine
- All the data of the karts come from real life : A FIRST ON RF2
- Real circuit data (real laser) : first time in RF2
- THE FIRST Vehicle combo with real data + real real circuit data (laser)
- The real data are obviously perfectly exploited (circuit and kart), it is a professional simulation. And just use the DLC to see the very high quality of physics kart and circuit
- Graphics and sounds very good. In particular, the circuits are ultra immersive
- 2 completely different vehicles, that can be driven in real life + 3 circuits very well made.


I do not understand why 20 € is expensive ........... It's exactly the opposite.

SimKart 3 tracks and 2 Kart= less 4euros per items!! (remove taxes it's even less!) expensive serious??
