So I have a problem with a new track I'm working on. The whole AIW is done. As well as CAMS. But in testing, the cars run out of fuel and just pull up on the side of the track. So I put 10 cars in a 20 lap race with fuel & tyres on 4x. 4 of the 10 cars finish the race, but the others just pull off the track with no fuel left. They get the "Fuel & Spanner" icon but just will not pit. I've done the “Simulate Fuel Usage” with 2 types of cars before saving the AIW. Anyone seen this before? Is there a fix? SS
What car or mod is being used? Im not familiar with talent files could someone with knowledge of talent files share some light ?
Does your track have a pitwall? Control if you have no overlapping corridors of the main path and the pit path, between the xpitin and xpitout meshes. If they overlap, it could be the reason for your Problem.
@ Nib I'm using the S397 cars in Dev, Camaro, FR35s & Skips. They all do the same thing. @Bernd thanks I'll look at that. I'm sure they do overlap. But why some pit and some don't? @Mangoletsi I'm using the Camaro, FR35s & Skips, then using the “Simulate Fuel Usage” in Dev to correct usage. SS
@Bernd, I just checked the pit entrance/exit corridor & cut track, I don't see any problems there, but I still get the same result. SS
Does your pit path cross over your main path? I've seen issues with that. Is your track really long? Maybe manually edit the fuel numbers.
@SmellySkidmark Would you upload your track as a zip file, as it is in your moddev and send a downloadlink? (per PM if you don't want to provide the link here in public) It would be much easier to find problems, if we could load the track in our own moddev.
@Coutie The main path & pit path are both on the outside line into the last turn. However it maybe the Block path that is the cause, it's on the inside line. I'll try that when I get home from werk. The track is only a few K's long. I don't think it's the fuel numbers simply because some do pit & finish the race. @Bernd Sorry it's not my track to send, I'm just doing the AIW & CAM for someone else. SS
@SmellySkidmark You maybe can ask the creator of the track to allow to share with others? It's almost impossible to find out the reasons for problems that mods have, without getting loaded the mods on own machines. As a last try from my side, without having the track. Have you seen any strange entry in the trace file? Could you upload the trace file here, in zip packed format?
I would try to check which garage positions were using the cars that run out of fuel. Closest to pit entry? Furthest? Random? It could give you a clue.
Thanks for your input guys, I think I've fixed it with a full redo of the pits. All 10 cars finish a 20 lap race. woohoo SS
