I really hadn't planned to go 4K for gaming because my system isn't quite beefy enough, but I found a 43" UHD TV for great price and I could not pass it up and I'm really impressed by how well rF2 runs in 4K. Sure, I had to turn down some details, but it still looks great and it rarely drops below 60fps (except during replay).

    Great job guys :)

Haha no and I don't intend to ;) Never really enjoyed racing in the rain so that's not going to be an issue.

    it's not well optimised.
with my 1080ti i can run Assetto at 8K with aax4.
    with Rf2 i can only ay 4K. and i didn't try rain + 20ai.

My 1080Ti manages 4k/60 max on pretty much all official content and lots of mods also and looks brilliant.

Now if I can only get VR to run aswell I won't need anything else.
If I could pull myself away from VR I would make a rain video also, but it's also quite doable.

try 4k max anti aliasing level 5 + rain +
    30Ai + 30 cars visibility

    i know the result i have 1080ti too it's 40fps.
    add night and -15fps.

with the new volta we will be nice.
funny that 1080ti is not enough powerfull ;)

Well this vid is 4k Max ingame with AA x5 and PP Medium .
Im not testing 2D anymore as VR is where i'm at now .
I NEVER did rain in rF2 because , lol well rain in rF2 was always a joke visually (until now it's getting ok) and well night i couldn't stand the shadows under cars and light coming from headlights behind .
I haven't tried night and rain in a very long time and as it stands if i want night and rain well that's pC2 domain i'm afraid atm .
Now all my testing is trying to get 90 fps in VR without stutters and freezes and flashing black screens . A mission all of its own .
Agree that Volta/Ampere can't come quick enough but even that won't be enough , lol

Did you try with less visible cars? Not even racing NASCAR at Daytona you'll need to see 30 from your cockpit. But maybe even then wont fix the problem. There is something wrong with AI in DX11, it uses a lot more resources than DX9 but once you go online with same amount of cars it has no issue (car from other players use AI physic in your PC) and run smooth just like racing against the AI was in DX9, devs said they are looking into it.
Tho I wonder how many games a 1080ti can run at 4k60fps with max settings. I thought the power for it was not yet available (except for that new Titan card)

    - TIP :
Create dedicated server LAN (and the rfmod of course)
    With my i5 2500K OC+15% I can run without lag/fps issue in 4K (gtx 780 OC +17%) more than 50-103 AI (max 10 visible).

    BUT in LAN

    In the game...... pfffffffffffffffff
