Bonjour, track is narrower, back "hump" is higher by 3,5m (they had a few cars flip there), "Namerow" corner is farther up the hill and radius is reduced, berms everywhere, front straight is faster and no chicane before the first turn "Le Diable". A typical 1960's dangerous track ! There is also another bridge to go to the inside of the track.
I believe the earlier layouts had a much simpler set of corners approaching the pits and the area just past them. Chicanes have been added to slow the cars down before the plunge down the hill and before the more open parts of the track. Plus, as a fan of Gilles back from the GPL days, I would expect a-lot less Armco and other safety mandated features that are present at today's track.
I'm sorry for what I said. The reason I said that was because the track looks perfectly fine and that was in 2014. Its 3 years later now and it still isn't released. To me that is a abandoned project. If it isn't abandoned I would recommend doing a page where we can see the status/updates of this track, other than leaving it on Youtube with a drooling video and no update notes.
I had no clue he was a good Track builder. Like I said earlier seeing a 4-year old video of a mod made me think that the project has been abandoned. Usually tracks that are WIP have their own web-page to present it's progress. This track has nothing. Now that I know he is still working on it. I take back everything I said.
@ZachRacing . . . why not introduce yourself to some finished tracks while you are waiting . . . could be another couple of years
Not to worry. Unfortunately rF2 has had quite a checkered past. A lot of mods were abandoned for various reasons while others have been slow to keep up with the moving times. With the newly revised, repackaged and re branded rF2 making waves, due to @Studio397, there are a lot of folks who are quickly finding out just how checkered that past has been as they play catch up. But there have been several modders who have stood by rF2's huge potential with @senormen being one of them. In my experience modders usually take offence at having their loyalty questioned by new peeps to the cause (which is completely understandable). I'd maybe recommend checking out whether a modder is active on these forums before hitting the comments box. We're all very protective of our sim here as we can see beyond its (soon to be eliminated?) weak points to the bounty beneath. I hope you can too.
if you just want senormen tracks, then I suggest these: Misano World Circuit Imola Jerez Assen Croft Or from others too, then I suggest these too: Poznan Putnam Park Sebring Mid-Ohio Lemans Bugatti Great Wall Raceway Hidden Valley Oran Park Barbagallo Lester MoSport Nogaro Oregon Raceway Park Sachsenring Symmons Plains Raceway Thruxton Texas World Speedway The Shojo Rouen Les Essarts Virginia International Raceway edit: if you have Assetto Corsa and want a pretty bare-bones Mont Tremlant track let me know and I'll send you a link.
This is what "is available" for converting from AC if anyone has the interest and ability, please contact me. As it looks now in August 2019: It's still being worked on too, so there'll be less to do in the end.
