I noticed an issue with the damper settings of both the McLaren and the Bentley GT3 cars from the Power Pack. Clicking on the "+" equates to the damper number setting decreasing. Clicking on the "-" equates to the setting number increasing. This happens with the SLOW BUMP/REBOUND front and rear and the FAST BUMP/REBOUND front and rear. I'm running 1109 Beta DX11. Disregard if it has already been reported. I searched but found nothing in regards to it. I'm that's the normal damper setting behavior, sorry.
Not a bug, tis how it is in real life apparently, check out the McLaren bit in the release notice https://www.studio-397.com/2017/10/gt3-power-pack-release/
Despite it is not a bug, it is very confusing. The explanation when the GT3 pack was released is quite useless where it is for casual users that don't read those things. Maybe if the possibility to swap to real units was integrated in the UI it would be less confusing. Maybe the new UI addresses this...
I understand your point and I understand that they are trying to go for realism. I should have re-read the release notes and this post would not have happened. I'm okay with how it is, frankly.
Rest assured, you are not the only user to notice this. I suspect this thread will repeat every few months as new players get engaged with the GT3 pak.
Think of this thread as a community service announcement, if someone new to the GT3 pack in the future notices the same thing and does a forum search before posting will find this thread...don't beat ya self up over it...it's all good.
I dig it. I searched before posting. There wasn't anything pertinent. Now there is. I don't beat myself up but certainly take responsibility for my mistakes.
