Hello, I have a rFactor2 Steam version installed on my pc about two years ago. I requested the steam code for the transition to this platform and then I installed the game successfully. My Steam Account is doctor_kruntz. My rFactor2 Account info (in rFactor2 Launcher) is... First Name: DrKruntz Nickname: Doctor Kruntz I played without any problems in both single player and online multiplayer races until last 19 november 2017 but now the game does not allow me to access online competitions! In the rFactor2 Launcher my License Info indicates... Type: rFactor2 Online Access: Lifetime So I should have multiplayer access forever but this does not access more! I would like to know how to fix it. I look forward to your communication about it. Please, help me to solve this problem! Best regards Stefano Cocco (DrKruntz)
I choose the competition, the launcher downloads the eventual missing files but when I click on the "Join Race" button to go online nothing happens! It is as if I had been disabled for multiplayer.
After it does nothing, is there some red text near the join button? Or does it let you into the game, and you just can't get past the main screen?
I have conducted tests with various free online competitions but the result is always the same... the game does not enable me the multiplayer! It's as if I had not paid the annual fee for the online... even though I have a lifetime access in my License Info.
Well, there is no fee anymore. I honestly have no idea. The only thing I can think of is you don't have the mod that the server has. It won't always download, it's up to the server to allow that.
Could it be related to what happened to these users? https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/rf2-exe-and-config-exe-disappeared.58387/ @DrKruntz Have you checked if single player works OK?
Try loading steam: left click on rFactor2 in your library - Choose Properties from the list - Choose 'Local Files' tab from the properties window - then 'Verify Integrity of Game Files' , let it do its thing and try again.
