Awesome race! Battled for first place whole race and it was on last lap that I finally was able to take 1st place. Bit lucky for me, but everything counts Thanks for everyone who joined! Was fun! Next week some more racing
Unfortunately my race endend at the second turn because I stalled the engine, and I didn't map the button for the starter. Hope for better luck next week. The mod is fun but is is very hard to manage, I had several déjà-vu GPL moments, but it is true that when you carefully heat up the tyres (and tune for heavy understeer) the car becomes a lot better. What seems strange to me is the tyre contact patch shape, very very thin compared to any other mod and, ultimately, not very credible from my standpoint. This is also confirmed by the fact that the torque on the steering column is very weak: I had to choose the Heavy option and set 100% to feel something on my OSW. This is also questionable because I think really strange that a '67 F1 without any kind of servo delivers less than 2 or 3 Nm to the steering wheel. Have you tried to use the tgm from ISI Sparks or Evo?
Thanks for feedback Yes I have tested. Will make some more test next week when I have more time to test About the FFB. For some reason I have very heavy FFB. I can send you PM if you could test few things someday with the OSW. Problem could be my wheel. But it dont feel any weaker than any other historic mod, so thats bit weird
@Postipate - gotta try that - looks like you're having too much fun. Any way to adjust a file so we don't get DQ'd for going "Wrong Way"?
All you have to do is turn the rules off for practice (or quali or race if that's where you want to do it) and drive how you wish. That's what I did in my video earlier this week driving backwards.
Update 1.2 Log: -There was missing lines in rear suspension! Added -New tires -Added Shifter option what required clutch or rev matching! Very cool. (thanks for tip thunder bullet) -Minor tweaks to audio side. -Many many more tweaks that don't matter to anyone. In general what you need to know: Braking distances are longer Need to have less speed in corners Bit more top speed Car is more steady under acceleration Steam will upload update automatically We have again open league race tomorrow at Brianza! Would be awesome if we could get people to race again. Its much more fun to race online that offline, so please join https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/1967-ferrari-312-open-league-monza-23-november.58301/
LOL... wanna bet? Every time you make it better to meet your own standards, we're all impressed with the result.
I haven't had a chance to test this one out yet, but im a big fan of your work and your work ethics, so im quite sure it's top notch im very busy at work atm but i try to find a spot to hop in the ferrari this weekend.
https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/1967-ferrari-312-open-league-monza-23-november.58301/ Ferrari 312/67 race today! I will be streaming my own race live too today. First time, so I hope everything goes well Will post link to it later today.
This is a very nice mod, however the physics need a bit of work. Feels very uncomfortable to drive, and is not balanced out of the box. Oversteer and understeer at the same time, the suspension is a bit stiff even at the lowest settings, and gets very twitchy over the bumps of Monaco. Perhaps the tyres are lacking mechanical grip which the Brabham has. I feel like it should be more like the Brabham BT20 and be able to compete with the Brabham, that car feels smooth and is satisfying to drive and turns corners faster. That's just my opinion, everybody has their own. Sorry to criticise. GREAT car though. I look forward to future updates.
