This is a conversion of our 05/06 mod from rf1. DX11 skins and converted physics. These cars were and still are a beast to drive. Some minor physics tweaks may still be planned. haha this is great! good to see more comming in! Hopefully i will find time to fix the bugs in the carf factor mod so it's more complete.
Would releasing on Steam as a mod with toronto17 track and as a standalone car make it harder for online drivers to host/join or does it not make a difference?
Agree with Gui. Bundling cars & tracks has never really worked in the long run; someone always separates the components and everybody is grateful (see Celica GTO & Lester for an example).
I would also say that a single rfcmp is the better choice, to release car and track mods, always. The rfmod option was a bad one from the beginning on, except for the use as race events.
Currently, we are trying to find a suspension bug, the cars are very stiff and the onboard cams show the susp. arms barely moving over curbs. I'll ditch Toronto with the release but it will still be a rfmod file so you get the rfm file installed so can isolate the cars. I only have like 4 series installed and with "all cars and tracks" checked, i have to scroll through over 100 drivers, which is crazy.
We are nearly there. I'll post a screen or two tonight or tomorrow. Both Doug and I are currently not satified on how the suspension conversion worked out. If anybody has experience in this, please let me or Doug know.
