There is no need to devs to answer, you can't update your license to steam. You can use link from my post # 3 and download non steam dx9 version of rFactor2.

Ya, you've missed the deadline by about six months.

instead of downloading dx9 from above, just purchase it again so you can enjoy dx11 and all the new contents and features that will come in the future.

Or play dx9 for now, and when the new features are here and working you will be happier to purchase :)

Put it on your wishlist. RF2 goes on sale on steam pretty often.

No need to wait for an answer from a dev, they have their little army of fanboys giving the answer for them.
Who needs a community manager anyway when you can have fanboys for free ? :p

I have posted link where you and OT can download product you have paid for. If you don't follow forum or read your mail and don`t upgrade game to Steam version for free who's fault is that?

    What are you crying about?

Bloody hell, you even just help people and get labelled a fanboy. This is ridiculous.

Excuse me guys, but why does ISI/S397 didn't have simply asked for an "acknowledgment receipt" of their mail?
In every country, with a fundamental change on a product (and service) you bought (for life), the company have to legally inform their customers.
P.S.: Don't quote me wrongly, I have bought rf2 a second time to sustain S397 move... by the way I never had that mail either!

@Stan You don't 'own' software. If you read basically any EULA you'll find you are entitled to very little.

And steam isn't mandatory. Build 1098 is fully functional.

    Are you playing it?

When the deadline for transferring to Steam as the only way to keep updated was announced shouldn't an email have been forwarded to every rF2 owner?

Do you think that the sentence "It is your responsibility to check the Terms of Use periodically for changes" completely removes the responsibility ISI /S397 for communicating those changes in EULA?

For Paypal and other services to which I am suscribed I receive periodically updates in the "terms of use" which I am forced to agree again.
Why do you think they do this and do not copy the ISI/S397 way of leaving the responsibility to the users to read periodically looking for changes?

Sending a massive email a week before the deadline and not following the basic rules recommended by google and other spam filtering systems to avoid falling into spam black list is certainly not showing much consideration for those users.

I agree with you @SPASKIS , but actually they didn't change the use conditions of the software.
We can continue using the 1098 build, offline and online (if there were servers)
It's a joke and form my point of view a lack of respect to their customers. But it's legal.

Well, OT joined forums Feb 18, 2012 and last post before this thread is from Nov 7, 2013. Is it reasonable to ask:"
I've an old license but a new PC" ? Could this work if you didn`t use opportunity to upgrade from Win 7/8 to Win 10 ?
    Hardly
