[REL] 500_695 Fiat Abarth (Assetto Corse & Evoluzione) & 500 Ares by Pogea Racing 4.13

    low level for sound: confirmed. Sorry... anyway not a big issue, but I have fixed it and it will be available in a future build.
    At the moment I have done few changes:
    • increased sound level
    • fixed cockpit net if watched by right outside
    • new rear lights (2015), reverse and rainlights
    • improved motec adding digital RPM
    • new carbon "front wing" for all classes

    Maybe in the future I'll release a new class, but I'm not sure due to the crazy performances of this 500 = a monster.

    The class is the "Ares 500" by Pogea Racing, a German manufacturer that on last March presented an improved 500, street car... 5 pieces only at Eur. 60.000 + the basic car, Abarth 500.
    Known data are only few and not all sources give the same, but more or less:
    • 400+ (maybe 411) HP max power at 6400 (???) rpm
    • 445 Nm
    • more than 280 km/h (maybe 288)
    • 4.1 (or 4.7) seconds 0-100 km/h
    • 5 gears
    • Michelin (?) 215/35R18
    • and many more improvements to the material, suspension, discs...
    By Online Tools, I made the physics and some changes to the graphics, a friend of mine is looking at the 3d modifications and perhaps the class will be added to the current mod as a "crazy hot mid summer class", because IRL the car should be a street car, but it needs some change to be driven in a circuit, so it will be a semi-fictional development.

    I'm dubious, because to put to the ground more than 400hp with a FWD car using tires of 215 is something of unthinkable! And, if you are on a real car, FWD, in real life, for sure you are careful with throttle, but here, sitting on a simulator, I'm sure nobody will be careful and the mod might be incorrectly considered.

    As you can see I changed the title to WIP for the next build.
    I toke the decision to release a new class, the "Ares 500" into the mod and few update parts for the "old" classes.

    Chris "redapg" modeled all new parts of the Ares (rims, wing/spoiler, carbon fenders - sides - front - rear, etc...) making the car really beautiful and similar to the real Ares 500. LcR painted the new skins for this amazing car.

    (rear lights are still wip in the below screenshot)

    Of course the whole physics was updated to match that car.

    The Ares 500 is a monster and it is not easy to be driven, but (I can say like for any other mod that is closed to the real car) if you understand that you must simulate the real way to drive, everything will feel in the right way.

    No idea of the release date, maybe I'll ask here for some test...

    New exhaust too... and carbon is now a little more shining for a better look... and lot of other little things... the Ares 500 class is almost ready and I need some volunteer for latest quick tests. Please PM if interested. thank you.

    I read the few info that are available... sincerely I'm a little bit tired of the time I had spent on the Ares. I started just for adding a crazy hot summer mod to the 500 and it seems an endless development, that in the end will be used by few people only.
    And I must say that without the help of Chris in modeling a lot of parts and the help of Luca (LcR) in looking in deep and painting, forcing me to fix what was possible, the mod was only a dream.

    Both Metalmoro and Giannini should be tubular chassis + central engine, but the GP3 and other mods need our attention for long time.

    I hope you will go for the Metalmoro soon or later! I love your work with the 500, Ares is good too but as the Giannini it is more a showroom car than a real race car...maybe this is the reason you fear will be used by few people only?

    Now just need a short version of sm Milano to race on :cool:
    But that La Giannini 350 GP Anniversario is quite something !
    Reminds me of a modern Renault 5 Turbo but €150,000 is way out of my budget sadly :(

    After long time, in the incoming weeks the revised 500_695 Abarth will be released...

    Just a quick reminder for an evergreen mod, that comes in 4 Classes and that is fully updated to:
    - full scratchable vs damageable option
    - full rain effects
    - 4 classes position led panels
    - fixed disc glow range due to some change to the rF2 code
    - update real time section with latest code for all tires

    Well, Build 3.93 (update) is added to the first post and Steam. Thanks to Chris "redapg" also these classes have working wipers. Now I hope into some multi-classes races too for this evergreen mod... Thank you.

    The links for the non-ARES template seem wrong, I can only find rfcmps, or am I missing something?
