Hi, Some of you have been very helpful in helping me to try and overcome my problem in staying in a WFG server (being booted due to my steam id). Up until this time it has been very frustrating, things i have done. Steam plugin is installed and running (on) Completely turned off my firewall/virus scanners Made sure my name was the same as my registration name, same as on steam and rf2 in rFactor.name file and in my player file. Reinstalled RF2 - with non of my existing user data folder Reinstalled steam then RF2 again Even tried a friends account which works on WFG, still didn't work. Made sure steam/rfactor 2 has access through appropriate UDP/TCP ports in the firewall Tried in both dx9 and dx 11 I have verified file integrity numerous times Last resort is to see if something be picked up in my trace file before i install a new version of windows and go through the entire process of installing everything again. Also would it be possible Tim/Marcel to remove my registration from WFG so i can re sign up to ensure nothing went wrong in the process. Have spent 1632 hours in rf2 since April last year and am really hoping to join the competition! Thanks in advance.
Can you elaborate on this "Even tried a friends account which works on WFG, still didn't work." What exactly did you do there?
signed in with his account and on the site, changed username to match his in the player profile and rfactor.name file
So i just don't get it, i finally got into a server without being kicked, after deleting the car and installing it again for the 45th time.(new rf2 install) then all the problems with the servers happened and i can no longer stay in a server due to the game not accepting steam id again. Does anyone as s397 have any ideas, at the moment is seems all the help i am seeking is falling on deaf ears.
I only managed to stay on a WFG server once. Haven't been able to get on since. Decided not to waste my time any more (not that I was going to be anywhere near the fast times anyway). Just very annoying I bothered in the first place... The registration/login system needs an overhaul for next time...
