I think at this point it is useless but on May 27 i wrote this pm to Slimjim: hi Slimjim on rf2 forum one man is trying to conctact you (and all modders) for request permission for convert F1-67 mod on rf2. Can you help us? Today he answered me: I have been contacted by these people and gave them permission.
OK, so it's been largely converted and permission has been given. Why not release it so people can give feedback, and then work to update the models of each car - possibly as a community effort? I've never quite understood why people shun mods with less than perfect graphics. The mod won't drive the slightest bit better with shiny new high-poly models; it'll only look better in replays and screenshots. The physics and models can be upgraded independently, and people can enjoy the mod as a work in progress. I care 10x more about the physics than the graphics, so there will be no griping from me if the models are a little ragged around the edges.
No, I dont have permissions from GPL makers so thats the problem. rF1 mod was convertee illegally and seems like Assetto corsa too..+ they ask money for it. Just the fact that it is largely converted dont give me right to release it.
I am part of the GPL mods team and we asked iRacing for permission to continue modding GPL. This happened about 10 years ago or so. They said they were not interested in the GPL code so we were free to continue modding. So, if I were you, I would go on modding 1967 F1 cars. In the case of the other mods already released for GPL, you will need our permission though.
we can have solution, but help needed! https://forum.studio-397.com/index....ebody-to-convert-gt-legends-mod-to-rf2.57720/
Anyone knows what happened to that 1976 f1 mod made from scratch? I think the modder name is Mauro or Mario edit: found it
