I see the Xbox thing is about to start and first race is very close.

 

Registration for the rfactor2 qualifier starts August 1 with the first race taking place on the 13th.
Three races at different Silverstone layouts and one at Zandvoort (yes!).

With the event coming up so quickly, when will the car be released to the public?

The car used for the Forza qualifier is a 2015 McLaren 570S Coupe GT4 spec car. What will the rf2 car be?

Interesting to see they opted to select a sim racer for supporting the F1 campaign using GT cars in this round.
I hope the drivers will be put in different types of cars through the rest of the selection process to demonstrate their skill across a broader area of (sim) motorsports.

 

I guess the car will be released on the same day that registrations will open.
I think I will give it a try, if nothing else just to see how many seconds I can take from alien hotlappers.

 

Apparently i was a day early, it will be the Mclaren 650 GT3 (paid content) and a new version of Zandvoort (free) featured in this series.

Registration starts 12.00 bst tomorrow.
Time trial 1 starts same time Wednesday.

This is all great for the WFG but for the other 95% of us who are regular world fairly quick gamers RWFQG it really does not mean too much. Another car after you buy it some different tracks but no real likelihood of anything else. We are likely to be racing the same leagues against the same racers without too much advancement with the game itself. After the hype back to reality it will just take awhile to get back there.

 

Whens the car getting released ao we can start putting some setups together?

 

It would be nice, but it would not help. Mc laren wants someone who perfectly understands the setup and physics of a race car then ...

I would never priorize it over driving skills.
You can learn how to properly setup a car if you are really interested and have a good instructor. But you cannot teach someone to be the fastest. You need a natural talent for that.

 

I am only talking about the qualities that mr laren want for their chosen pilot.
Otherwise, I agree with you, the setup will not allow a bad driver to become a good one. They want both qualities

I totally lack being fast and good on setups...but I don't know how I am very good on race strategy's...why God?why??

I was wondering if the car would be on the workshop, or will it actually be a DLC (of which there is nothing on the rfactor 2 steam page as of yet)
