Is there any way to see whilst in-game, how the FPS is going etc [like CTRL-F] in the non VR version? I have seen mention of the SteamVR performance monitor, but don't seem to be able to see anything in-game as yet.

Rift or Vive? If Rift you can use the Oculus Tray Tool (below) to easily switch between different HUDS including an FPS meter, hopefully one day we'll get a smaller one in game as this one's quite large

Thanks MarcG - will check that out. Yes, I am using a Rift - strange there's nothing already there.

Yes it's a bit of a faff with the performance monitor with OTT.
It's so big it obscures your view while driving.
Lots of useful stuff though like fps and asw status etc.
Agree it would be very useful to have an in game monitor that worked in VR.

In VR is there a way of adjusting the clipping of your <head>? it seems that the smallest amount of movement towards the side window or side wall results in that section of the car getting clipped out. Sorry for the poor explanation.

This is apparently due to the limits that SteamVR set and I'm not sure there is much that S397 can currently do about it.
Hopefully SteamVR will allow adjustments to this in the future.
I agree, it's quite immersion destroying in VR

I don't know that it is necessarily steam VR specific as it is greatly reduced in AC, no where near as prevalent as in RF2.

AC doesn't use SteamVR though. It runs through the Oculus SDK

Clarification pls, since rF2 uses SteamVR, we set supersampling in SteamVR. But to run Performance HUD we need OTT, so do I have to set an rF2 profile in OTT with PPD=0 so it doesnt conflict/multiply with SteamVR's Supersampling value? And how about ASW, is this set only in OTT to run in rF2 as either auto, or fixed 45? In other words, I also need to run OTT too (aside from SteamVR) to set ASW preference? Sorry, just getting my bearing with w/c takes precedence. TIA.

It's entirely up to you which SteamVR or Oculus (OTT) Supersampling to use but yes use one or the other not both at the same time is my advice and no they won't conflict if you set OTT to 0. OTT sets the Oculus ASW state so use that on whatever setting you wish, also CTRL+Numpad 1/2/3/4 whilst in game change the ASW state as well (forget which key does which, google will tell you).

The actual ASW from Oculus, I haven't got the link but Google ASW and you'll find a post on Reddit about the ctrl numpad.

I see, so it's built into the OVR Service. So even if I don't run Oculus Home (w/c rF2 doesn't need, as it only needs SteamVR), the function should still work.

I always run Oculus home anyway, takes up hardly any background resources for me.

I stumbled across a setting in nVidia Control Panel, new or old not sure, called DSR Factors and tried the first option of 1.2x, then the next line called DSR Smoothness and set it to 33%. This enabled my screen native to be upped from 1920x1080 to 2103x1183.

Now in RF2 the same thing becomes available where I only had 1920x I can now select 2103x.
The track, cars, interior, detail in mirrors seems clearer crisper to me. Might be wrong not sure. I get the same options for other games.

You can't use the Rift without Home being opened in the background
