As an added Option a Story Mode would be great for those that would use it, if you don't want to use it....then don't, its an Option :)

Personally a Career/Story Mode of some sort would be great, starting at the bottom and working your way up through the classes with various difficulty levels, managing finances perhaps mixed with a bit of 'Motorsport Manager' style management, yeah that would be cool!

    No I haven't, should I?
Default is 0, I used 2 due to a training tutorial on this forum.

Everything should work as normal if you leave it on "2" for everyday. Just saying.

I like the assetto corsa's system where they ship all cars with extra challenges where you have to beat the ai or beat a lap time on certain track. It is nice little extra that modders can easily add to their packages. Or people could create and share their own events and championships.

It would be nice if rf2 supported small races or championships that you can ship with your car mod. Call them special events or whatever. Like the radical sr3 could come with 2 hotlapping events that use two of the newest tracks and a short 3 race championship. And then give steam achievements for winning each one. I know they are easy to cheat but the whole point is to add extra content that seems pretty effortless to add into the game. And finely tuned special events could really showcase the wide variety of weather and time environments rf2 supports.

A career mode like the one in GTR2 will be great, you win races and you unlock new championships and all this strictly legate to driving school too...but you can also create your own...
I think all the SIM developers (no matter which one) should have it installed to remember themselves which is the "minimum base" to develop a working sim (not talking about physics and graphics here)...still now you can see some sims with half the features GTR2 had...

Thanks for your input. Your advice however is in conflict with the tutorial I read which advises to return it to 0.
If you want to explain the reasons why its better please feel free.

2 only works in Practice and doesn't work if you have a Full Weekend going IIRC (its been a while!), it may be different now. What I personally suggest is to ignore all "learning methods" and just play the game, if the AI are Bad at a particular corner then AutoCalibrate=1 can usually make them better depending on the AIW itself. 2 is used to make the AI more thorough but I found downsides with this as it can make them a bit Alien and "rigid". Can't remember what 3 does, again, it's been a while!

This. You can start with the karting mod, then progress to FBMW or F4 when the mod is done, then GP3, F2 or GP2, then F1.
You win the championship ? Move up. If not, redo the championship. Or you can do a ride buying career, and move from karting to GP3 to F1.
As was said, with a bit of imagination, it's possible.
