I've not had a chance to test the latest build but wondering if the blurriness bug is effected by PP being OFF compared to LOW/MEDIUM/HIGH? Just thinking the adjustments done to remove DOF from the PP effects from VR may have had an impact on the game running no PP & I know Adrian last time you weren't running any of those effects. I'd run the tests but it's just so hot here at the moment, even more so in my office/play-space. When i work I'm dripping with sweat, strapping a VR headset to my head is unthinkable at the moment.
My rf2 hangs with PP on low. All other views are fine except the blurryness and as soon as you select pit request a few seconds later a black screen fills your view.
It appears (from first run) that the Pixels Per Display (PPD) isn't running correctly but is being "drawn" to the device, I've done a Benchmark and it's similar to other benchmarks but clearly there's a big visual difference. I've got a little time this morning so will investigate further.
To confirm I've changed the PPD in both the OculusSDK to 2.0, I get the lag expected form such a high setting but the visual blurriness is the same with 1.0, so it is as though it's being drawn to the device but for some reason not making the expected visual impact. Same when changing the SteamVR from 1.0 to 4.0, I get the lag but no visual difference. It's almost as though ASW is constantly on Auto even though I tested with it locked to 45 & Auto, there was no difference. I have had a few SteamVR updates since I last drove RF2 so maybe they've messed something up in relation to RF2.
Thanks Christopher for taking care of it. Same issue as adriansealth, nothing changed in my config from the day before except for the update and its very blurry. Can we have a supersampling rate in the menu ? kind of like what ETS2 has? Yesterday, after discoverying this issue, i've started to think that we all used supersampling from Steam VR (even in CV1 as is my case) to be able to have FFB. In the update before you solved this and SteamVR was no longer mandatory.. so i think we have all used RF2 without supersampling for a couple of days/weeks?? Anyway, the big blurryness is from yesterdays update as everybody feels. Thanks for the work.
But rF2 launches Steam VR in the background, ¿no? And then ¿Do we use the Steam VR supersampling config?
Don't understand what you are asking now @lagg. But if you mean supersampling setting in steam vr then my answer is yes i guess so.
Dk2 screen is flickering and flashing constantly since this update. Anyone know how to roll back this beta
