Now I'm completely confused... I just tried the create_file.py Python script and it seems to work fine even with the new TRACKSTATS format. Can somebody please confirm this? Cheers, Uwe
I just used my existing create_file.py and uploaded the career.blt, and everything I looked at worked fine. Hope this helps.
The new NOLA layouts have been added to the database. Please post here if anything comes up missing. All the best, Uwe
Some tracks and layouts have been added to the ranks: Nordschleife 2 VLN NOLA IndyCar Watkins Glen Full All the best, Uwe
We had some issues with the site over the last couple of days with the process restarting every two minutes... should be fixed now. All the best, Uwe
Added a few new cars to the database, the ASR F1 2017 Williams among them. Looks like the team did a great job and named each car class individually (as it should be), so if you have driven laps in the other F1 2017 cars please post their car names here if they pop up as "unknown car class" on rF2 Rank. Thanks!
just checked the site out, nice! I was looking for something to motivate some single player fun (since MP games of rf2 are hard to come by without a league involvement) - this looks like it could do it!
Let me know if you have ideas for promotions and I'm sure we can arrange something! All the best, Uwe
There is no roadmap ATM, right now my work on rF2 Rank is pretty much restricted to adding new tracks and cars. If anybody feels like contributing (must know a bit about python & Django), I'd be happy to take on new devs (the code is rather ugly though... for whatever reason, my python looks like perl ) uwe
new track: Baku / Dix Racing new cars: Haas F1 / ASR F1 2017 new promotion: Anything @ Baku (Dix Racing)
Hey @hoover, I'm having issues with the script - it only loaded 1 track record and that was from ages ago. My "All Tracks & Cars.cch" has 796 lines, with the last being my latest record. To trouble-shoot I moved my "All Tracks & Cars.cch" but the "career.blt" was still created with the same track record (no errors though). Any idea? With my original "All Tracks & Cars.cch" file: create_file.py V0.25 (c) ISIforums.net, 2014- WARNING: Something's wrong with a PLAYERTRACKSTAT entry in file All Tracks & Cars.cch at line 200, please check. Error: Keywords "TrackName" and / or "ClassRecord" not found where I expected them. career.blt created successfully from 2 files (found 1 track records). Press ENTER to exit. After moving "All Tracks & Cars.cch" from player folder (to desktop): create_file.py V0.25 (c) ISIforums.net, 2014- career.blt created successfully from 1 files (found 1 track records). Press ENTER to exit. File created in both cases with the same record: [PLAYERTRACKSTAT] TrackName=BUGATTICIRCUIT_N TrackFile=D:\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\Installed\Locations\ECAR_LeMans_Bugatti\1.0\BUGATTICIRCUIT_N ClassRecord="*",8,97.8130,-1.0000,-1.0000 ClassRecord="GT-R GT500 2013",8,97.8130,-1.0000,-1.0000
Can you check the entry indicated in the error message on / around line 200? Simply deleting it from your cch file and re-running the script should (hopefully) fix the problem. All the best, Uwe

@hoover, Ok, I started deleting "[PLAYERTRACKSTAT]" sections - always starting with the line after the reported errors. I deleted approximately 15-20 sections (records) before the script would finish without errors reported. A few of those that caused problems are below (and some where Studio 397 tracks). Strange that so many tracks/cars would cause errors, this would really prevent use of rF2 rank if I had to keep deleting tracks/car records that the script didn't expect. I can understand if a particular track/car isn't in your database but should the script fail - it stops and won't load anything below the error. Thanks for the listing! The script won't fail because of an unknown track or car, but it looks like your trackstat entries have the extra "AIParameters" line. I'll see what can be done about it. Also, some of your entries don't have a "classrecord" line at all which usually holds the lap record, so those entries should be discarded by the script. Uwe
@hoover, not that it may matter but I'm running the DX11 beta version. If the file data is missing something then I wonder if it's because of the track/car "mod" - like "OULTONPARK_INTNC" and "PUTNAM_WITHCHICANES" (recent releases). "NOLAMP_RT_B" I believe is an Studio 397 track though.
