Really appreciate the work on this now. Having a blast racing the AI around Silverstone. Not sure if it has been mentioned, but is there an error in the fuel count in the Garage? I think on a full tank it shows 12 laps around Silverstone but the fact is 32l does 12 laps, so 30l is just 11 laps not 6 as shown.
Agree 100% WHAT A GREAT JOB the dev team have done with this mod ....it is fantastic to drive every thing about the car is close to perfect..now my no1 open wheel car to drive in rf2
We are debating, internally, for a new build for adding: - helmet painted for each 2017 driver - few updated liveries for sponsors, etc... - new painted visor at least for 2017 drivers and anyway a new GP3/rF2 visor like the one here... Other info will follow, thank you.
I don't know if you have seen this already, but while checking telemetry yesterday I noticed something, at least, I suspect. On default camber settings with the soft tire, I was getting higher middle temps than the inside of the tire. Is this possibly a case of motec (using DAM by Lazza) mislabeling something or might it be a clue for you leading to a possible issue? All I can say is, I had my doubts driving the default setup, but with some moderate tinkering, it drives like a proper openwheeler! Really dig that you have to sort of keep it clean to get a decent lap out of it, and then you are rewarded for pushing hard if you want something more out of it. The only thing I'm struggling with now is the suspension geometry. I can't seem to get rid of some car unsettling bumps whatever settings I choose, but there are so many combinations to test, I actually started writing them down
Found same issue but only a slight percentage of difference , increased camber unrealistically and you would expect higher inside temp but still minor peak at centre , 12 psi.. itching for track map again or similar . Also note this was last lap of 15 , note fuel left , started with 17 laps.
While LcR was working for updating the liveries of few 2017 cars adding the current sponsors, he recorded a short video...
Great mod no doubt. We are currently running a challenge with it and soon we will have a championship season, looking forward to it. They are just as hard to throw around as a FR 3.5 but in a very different way, with the 3.5 you have to be ultra-precise, these seem to reward aggressiveness as well so you have to be on the rugged edge and it's a lot of hard work I can tell you!
For the first time an invitational system will be used to ensure that registered drivers are willing to participate and not just register and never show up or just do one race. To that effect there's already a hotlap challenge running, drivers who are active in this challenge will be invited based on criteria I'm not made fully aware off. But if one is able and willing to participate they will not be denied, that's what I understand. Anyone interested in racing these cars can have a look here: https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/gp3-formula-challenge.56051/ I hope this is not considered spam,I have no affiliation with them beyond my participation, I understand the difficulty of RF2 players in finding organized events to participate in, 3 months or so ago I was in their shoes and I'd like to see the community brought together whichever way possible.
I'll have to be keen - the full series is 2am my time! Will log in for some hotlaps and pickup races though
