Hi! I have a Logitech G920 and for every turn I more or less have to wriggle my shoulders out of their sockets to have any car to go where I want. Changing any kind of options doesnt seem to have any effect so is my problems related to this issue? Is there any file I can edit manually to make it more responsive?
The problem has been known for atleast a year now, have you heard any news? Someone had it working-ish with setting the correct value in the LGS but for some reason RF2 totally disregards anything I put in wheel range. How had other G920 users made it useful, I wonder as the only car I found so far that actually turns is the Clio with ingame wheel range of 900 already. Some special setup file or software to be run ahead of the game??
For what it's worth, Logitech DFGT has had this problem in DX9 & DX11as well. And unfortunately in DX11 there seems to be no way to alt-tab out! So, you launch the launcher Launch Rf2 Load the track Find out the rotation is off Exit everything Forget what the rotation is supposed to be. Relaunch rf2, track Exit all Change rotation in Logitech profiler. Relaunch rf2. Whew...
Also complained about this problem a year ago, relaunched rF2 after a long break and still find that it is not fixed! Assetto Corsa has no such bug - its formula and street cars change steering locks automatically. Come on rF2, get this stuff in gear please! We are not talking about some exotic direct drive wheel here, G29/920 is by far one of the most popular wheels out there.
Just tried age old Live For Speed (LFS) and lo and behold G29 works fantastically well there - autoswitching between formula and street cars' steering angles without any problems whatsoever. RF2?
Exactly one year ago i asked about proper Wheel Support for the Logitech G29 here. As of today nothing happened / changed in terms of Proper Wheel Support. Sad to say but the rF2 Dev's are either incapable, lazy or they just don't care to add proper Wheel Support for the Logitech G29 and the G920. Confirmed by me and like claudiopolez said, even LFS (!!) got proper G29 / G920 Wheel Support.. Well thats a way to lose loyal racers, rF2 Dev's.
Add me to the list! Own a G920 and some open wheel cars are almost impossible to drive as you need to turn the wheel so far round. This must be fixable, as it's fine in every other sim.
There is two lines in Controller.JASON : "G920_workaround":true, "G920_workaround#":"Workaround for Logitech G920 firmware bugs ... may need to turn this off after firmware update if it gets fixed.", Perhaps editing first line like this could help: "G920_workaround":false, ?
A friend of mine who has the G29 has installed an Update for it and has no Problems with the wheel. This is the Update: ftp://ftp.logitech.com//pub/techsupport/gaming/G920Update_96_3_49.exe This forum seems not to support ftp links, it adds http: in front always. copy this line and paste it into your Browser, to get the file ftp://ftp.logitech.com//pub/techsupport/gaming/G920Update_96_3_49.exe
This line was only for the G920's Wheel FFB which was bugged back in 2016 and which got fixed with the G920 firware update in may last year, it has nothing to do with G29 / G920's Auto Wheel Rotation so it won't make a difference if turned on or off both wheels still won't apply unique automatic car rotation.
That update is only suitable for the G920 Wheel because you wrote G29 and second thing is that this firware update will only fix rF2 FFB issues on the G920 Wheel and some other G920 issues, issue with unique auto car rotation still exists with both G29 and G920 Wheels.
Nope still same status as reported of june 2016: Nothing changed in terms of proper (G29) Wheel Support
Got a G29 just bought the game in the summer sale and I really don't want to have to refund it. Not because i'm upset (but I am) but I really want to play it. Hope there is a fix soonz
