Latest Roadmap Update - April 2017!

Just a reminder:
- The dx11 update is just the first step
- New shaders will arrive later
- Updated rain effects will not be present at first
- New UI will arrive soon

So, even if we can already see some big improvements, we are just at the beginning...

 

I will be happy with that and even if it looks the same as long as the micro freezes are gone and I can turn the options up and play the game on the same level as the others. As long as we can have a decent league race without lockups, I will be happy

 

Word. I agree wholeheartedly. Judging by the video posted it sounds like the stuttering may be a thing of the past. Here's to hoping.

 

I sure hope the real thing looks a lot better than that video....full of jaggies/aliasing, shimmering textures and unconvincing shadows. Looks like lower detail and quality settings, not a showcase of how good the game should look. Couldn't care less about replays (which looked much better) if the cockpit or bonnet cam, in-motion experience is not good. No real point in commenting, though, until we see the real thing tomorrow.

 

I think that vid was nice, very impressed with the subtle improvements and as stated it will only get better, great job Studio397 you guys are awesome and thoroughly deserve congratulations for all your efforts so far - really looking forward to some races in VR now. I have been playing a bit of pCars2 beta lately, which is looking & playing very nice, but still I am so very happy that rF2 will be back better than ever for the long haul and hopefully attract many new racers to the franchise.

It should have happened nearly 8 hrs ago,GMT is the time standard that created time,space and matter,I'm chatting shite because I'm drunk with anticipation

 

.GMT is a gmotor2 standard...

 

As I'm new to rf2,does this title receive physics updates or tyre model updates,when was the last one and can I read up on the changes

 

@patchedupdemon I don't think there are any expected for this one, as the current dx9 build number (1108) isn't changing, at least as of a couple of days ago.

I saw Steam has downloaded something but it just say Workshop Content in title

When you launch the RF2 after the download, it appears that NOLA is being updated.
