I was going to say the GP version of Brands heading from Dingle Dell through Stirling Bend down to Clearways , but the starting grid painted there says this is somewhere else.

Wow. The Renaults are looking awesome. The Nissans, too. Maybe they could be a bit more glossy for my taste. But the new build definitely will rock. I haven't got ac or pcars and with the new build being released soon I don't regret it.:)

Just curious. When looking at a replay, will it be this blurry all the time, or just for still shots ?

Hoping the blur could be a little more subtle? It's getting a bit too much like a "tilt shift" effect, making the cars look miniature. Maybe it looks different in motion.

It seems to vary from camera to camera. More zoomed cameras tend to show it more, I don't know if there's some sort of secondary control on it (equivalent to aperture).

    Thats how a lens work
    More telephoto, less DOF
More the focal point is close to the lens, less DOF

Do you know how many Steam users own rFactor 2?

    0.04%

Seems VR in general is already doing way better than simracing, so adding VR support to your sim is definitely relevant.

Also, the amount of total Steam users isn't static, so even if the % of users with VR doesn't increase, that doesn't mean nobody is buying headsets, merely means that VR is growing at the same rate Steam is. Either way, price is the bigges factor there and Microsoft headsets are going to help when they come out for $299 by the end of the year. Hopefully the screen will be a bit better than what we have now as well

rF2 owners don't represent the number of sim racers in any sense. Assetto Corsa has over 10 times more owners than rF2, so already AC owners alone exceed the total number of VR owners. Anyway that is still meaningless, the question we should ask is, how many of those PC sim racers own a VR headset?

When we talk about rF2, about 35 000 people own the game on Steam, so the question is how many of those own a VR headset? If we are generous and assume 5 times more likely that the average sim racer owns a VR headset than the average gamer, that still leaves us with only 700 people owning both rF2 and VR. So frankly there isn't much of a sales margin that rF2 can gain at moment from new VR users alone, it's more about hype and having the sim "future proof".

most people bought AC based on youtube vids / screenshots something that Rfactor 2 has been weak on
(although rfactor 2 is much better sim imo ) , that could change now
