"We tried to strike a balance between using these effects to render the real-world imperfections of cameras while retaining the “first person view” you have when racing." Nothing else to add to that.

Screenshots and info looks good. One thing that would show things a little better would be some replay video to show lighting changes etc.

It must be my screen but in all of those pics, although great quality look too dark, in pic 4 I can not see the road very well at all let alone the "racing line".
    Just my 2cents worth

"...although we are definitely considering adding other options for controlling the VR interface."

One thing I like in a flight sim I play is the cursor is fixed in the VR (in the middle of course) and you simply look at a button and click the mouse or press a button on your controller, so there's no actual mouse movement needed just your own head movement as you look at each option.

That does not sound like a suitable solution for racing, IRL you'd use your peripheral vision alot. Yeah well if it only the menus, but still.

Oh no I meant solely in the menus, DCS has it for flying as well but that's more relaxed than racing of course.

Edit: of course at the track it could be useful in the setup screens as well :)

Hmm... anyone noticed that in the motion blur shot the Civic in front has no blur on the rims? Or am I mistaken it?

BTW: I like the fact S397 used a lot of night previews. Must be hard to swallow for some other games... *g*

Folks are getting their hopes up a bit too much here,I have seen nothing where they state that all the available content has been upgraded to dx 11 standards.
We might have a few pieces of Isi content but everything else will look the same and take time for the modders to update.if they choose to at all.
I'm not expecting much so my hopes won't be dashed

We are updating all tracks and cars but its not really that complex as you may think. You can find the link to DX11 guidelines in the April Roadmap Update.

Thanks for the reply, but to clarify a bit more, will all the content be updated for this build,or is it like I said, will be done over time.

Either way I'm not complaining,I just know some will be expecting all content to be suddenly updated within the next build, and so will come on here complaining about it,so I was just trying to put things into perspective for those that think that.

Thank you for all the hard work you guys are Making this software into cohesive product

All content will work in DX11 and have the effects it introduces, but as you can read in the link Tuttle gave, some textures may require fine tuning - official content is already using albedo map textures, I doubt they will require critical updates.
