Hi, Do any cars in RF2 have DRS? If so, I can't find any setting for it in control key mapping. Maybe I just need new glasses! Any clarification gratefully received.
Forumula Renault 3.5 have DRS... as per above the Keybinding wording is "REAR FLAP" , so set that to your key. Pressing it activates and de-activates it, however braking also disables it (as per the DRS system)
I'm having trouble getting the rear flap to open. I have it assigned to a button on my wheel in settings and when I press the button, it lights up. However, when entering the DRS zone, I press the button and nothing happens. Am I missing something?
Yes, as soon as I cross the drs line, I hit the button. I've tried hitting it just before, and after the line to make sure. It's odd
In Bahrain when you cross DRS line yellow/orange lights up in your wheel and when you push DRS button it lights green. DRS is enabled. Renault DRS wing don`t open like it does in F1 cars, wing closes. Renault low downfoce package don`t have any DRS at all.
2017 F1 cars also have DRS & I really enjoy those. i.e. the F1Fanactic 2017 mod. I haven't tested them on lots of tracks yet, but love them on Bathurst and you can use DRS whenever you feel like - but obviously be careful with it around corners. I try and flick it on as early as possible exiting turns, but there's a fine line between getting it engaged quickly and spinning off the track due to lack of down-force and too much acceleration
Not all tracks are configured with DRS zones, there is a setting in the Track GDB file that dictates whereabouts on the track the DRS detection and DRS zones are, How many seconds gap is allowed for DRS between the car in front and also how many laps of the race are completed before DRS becomes available.
Yeah I thought that - but I don't think I've actually driven a DRS car on a track with proper DRS zones on it. I'm pretty sure I've got tracks with DRS zones - but just haven't done that. But it's cool to use on other tracks when you can enable it whenever you like
