Hi guys, last week I was visiting my parents and I looked into my racing stuff storage boxes where I found a brand new IndyCar and IndyLight 1995 season rule book. I immediately thought that some of the talented rf2 modders or modding team could really need it... it's made of a hundred pages of rules and 60/70 pages of shemes. If any one is interested, please, let me know, I will send you by mail.
I remember iDT had started a conversion of the 1995 season, but I think it was abandoned?
Thanks in advance to the modders and to our beloved rf2.

    Stan.

@Guimengo: Thank you for remembering me the license of this one... and along with the few F1 oldies! Let's hope!
Do you know if someone took over the iDT works?

No idea about iDT leftovers, only that Doug has occasionally released some converted material from their previous work.

Edit: It still would surely be helpful if modders could look at an official rF2 car to borrow tire and suspension info, or even more since Reynard was the base chassis for most.

Progress has been stagnate due to the lack of anybody able to do physics.

I forwarded this on to the guys on the iDT side.

I have restarted work on the Indycar '95 about a month ago. It is coming along, and I an waiting on the update t DX11 before I redo the materials and any textures I need. The physics will begin after that.

It's coming. I'm a bit hampered because I don't have a way to export animation at the moment. I have all the textures updated to DX11 level. I need to apply the materials to match the current state of the art. As for physics I can't say, but needless to say a bit of work will still be required.

Seriously, take absolutely all the time needed. Even if it's only a year or more from now, the wait would be a welcome trade-off for the needed quality improvements over the original. Especially without official content reference.

how is this mod coming along

I was even thinking the other day to purchase rfactor 1 (it is still availabe on steam) to play the original IDT 1995 cart mod
But even the link to that mod seems to be dead
