I think this happened after the last update, but the AIs are no longer visible? They show up on my radar and my spotter say they are there. They are listed in the standings and set lap limes. Also, there is no impact with them.

    Any ideas?

If this is happening only in practice and or qualifying then you most likely have those sessions set to private.

No. I have noticed this as well. It's definitely a problem.

There was a problem discovered about missing body part and now whole cars. Hopefully it gets fixed soon.

It happens for me in races. Parts of cars are missing and if they get far enough ahead the whole car is missing. I know the car is there because I turned on the name pointers and I can't figure out how to turn it off.

Check in the display options the number of "visible vehicles".
    Now just some ideas.
Maybe the graphics setting for opponents detail is too low.
Graphics card not powerful enough or it's getting hot.
Do a Steam integrity check for the game.

    Ahhh! Is that the time!
League race starts in one hour and I have done about 3 laps of practice.
    Must go.

So it turns out you are not alone.
The race tonight, I had this issue (Triples, GTX 1070. 20 cars visible in options, only 11 drivers.)
I asked a driver after the race if it was just me but he said he had it as well with his GTX 1080 running triples.
He thought it was mod/car issue to do with the LOD.
    No, I don't know more about LOD, I'm not a modder. ;)

I read somewhere a moder had figured out what the problem was and reported it. He explained exactly what it was but I'm not a moder so I can't explain.

Personally i have never seen this issue. Steam integrity check, number of AI visible, private practice. One of those or a combo could fix the issue. Also of course dependent on mods that could be out of whack. Test with ISI/S397 content just to be sure.

I lowered AI to LOW quality at some point and all AI was seen on track. At first though when i had a larger grid and number of AI's visible was something like 11-12 i could see cars disappear and i wondered "what the hell?!". :D But, it doesnt seem like a bug - i think. Probably need a check of those settings or do a integrity check alt. reinstall completely.

My best bet is also that it has something to do with LOD-levels on certain cars.
Most noticable for me with Nissan GT500. There are some otherĀ“s too that do this badly.
Opponent detail on "1" (mid) here.

Check what setting you have `Auto Detail FPS` set to. Change it to Off.

    Tech G
As said above, turn `Private practice` off.

Ah yes, "Auto Detail FPS" will mess with settings when the software struggles, and will at times possibly turn AI's visibility off. I think it was ON by default.
