If I use the Finish or Next Session buttons during practice or qualifying the next time I go out on track the FFB will feel very notchy and cut off completely when FFB clipping is occuring. FFB will return once under the clipping threshold but it's very notchy. This happens while using modded or official content, both cars or tracks. I don't know what files or logs to attach to help further so just ask. Specs in spoiler below. Have a look in the control settings , might be in the misc tab. Look for "reset ffb" and assign it to a key or button to your liking. I'm not at my computer so that's about all I can offer. It's not a fix but something to try.
Yes from time to time something make FFB numb or other wheel issue, FFB reset solve the problem, I noticed that it happen to me only if I launch RF2 immediately after system boot, it seems like something has no time to load properly. I usually have no problem if I start RF2 after some time.
Try a bit of troubleshooting: Only plug in essential USB devices, mouse/keyboard and wheel/pedals. Try plugging the wheel into another USB port. Use a USB 2, not 3, port on the back of the computer. Don't use a USB hub or the pc case front panel ports. Make sure all usb and power cables are properly plugged in. Google "Disable USB power management" for your windows version. If possible try wheel on another pc. I just reread your OP, and you said it happens after clipping. Could be a overheating problem. Turn down ffb. Maybe the fan in the wheel is the problem.
FFB cuts after clipping yes but only after using the Finish and Next Session buttons. Heat Isn't a problem, I tried it today on a cold wheel. Fan works, plus I don't use mega strong FFB anyway. I'm yet to try different USB ports, currently using USB 2 on the case front panel but I don't want to crawl under my desk ATM. Done the USB power management thing, thanks for the suggestions.
