Hello Studio 397, I have a request for the Steam Workshop. Would it be possible for you to create different categories in which mods are placed. As example categories like: "modern open wheel", "modern touring car", "historic GT", "oval", "road course", "street course", and so on. Otherwise, the more crowded the workshop gets, the more difficult it will be to find stuff you are looking for (atm, if looking for a certain type of track you might have pages of other tracks and/or cars first). I don't own much games on steam yet, but one of it (Cities: Skylines) does have it that way and it really makes it much easier to find what you are after.
Official categories or tags would suit best here. I vote for assigned categories over tags which seem to have a more "optional" connotation. I would also encourage developers to modernize the uploading/editing options to make it more user friendly. I uploaded one of our tracks recently and although it wasn't difficult itself, it wasn't intuitive at all. In order to repeat it again I would have to reread instructions. I never needed any instructions when feeding remote content through the launcher.
Also it would be great to have a option to see which mod is updating when rf2 is downloading something.
I'd settle for just a couple of categories like tracks, cars and other at this point. Kind of time consuming sifting through them atm.
It would also be nice to stop the update (have option to update later for example) when loading rf2. Would make it better for modding when you just want to quickly check something in dev mode but need to wait 5 minutes for something to download.
