Yep that's exactly it. We have been without power for about 30 hours now. They are estimating it will be back up at 5:30am. I am crossing my fingers.

Edit: The home and family are safe. I lost most of my fence but other than that we are good. Thanks for the wishes.

    Hello Noel,
I have not used the get mod tool since migrating to steam. I would like to start using it again, but I have misplaced (forgotten) my password. Would you simply remove my account, and I will start anew or I will follow your instructions. My account was [RReynolds] If you have time perhaps you could add a routine that would allow forgetful folks like me to validate and update our password. Best regards, and thank you.

There is no longer any need for this tool as long as your files are in the "Packages" folder content will download direct from your server. ;)

Yeah but it is using the bandwidth of the server...
the get mod is a good way to save bandwidth or maybe I am wrong...

Yeah it's a very bad idea to download directly from race server, either the download is painfully slow or there is a risk that it hogs the server bandwidth. The old getmod system was much better, it only needed some tweaking on the UI side so people could more easily include URLs for their components. Oh well... maybe autodownload directly from Steam workshop is the future way to go.

I have been allowing downloads to come directly from my server for quite some time now with no problems.

But is it still capped to 50 kbs? Because then it absolutely sucks.

No or I would have been getting a lot of complaints from members joining server.

Yes. You need to edit the "Multiplayer.JSON" file and set this line:

    Code:
    "Enable Autodownloads":true,

Does anyone know if there are other options for a "redirect server"?

I'm getting a Microsoft .NET Framework exception when launching the GetModMgr.exe on W7 Pro:
I'm thinking it could be caused by an update, but since the last time GetModMgr ran successfully, only Windows Defender definitions have been updated.
When I hit "Continue" instead of "Quit", the program runs, but the list of installed mods is empty despite many being installed.
The same exception occurs when I hit the login button.
I've re-downloaded the .exe file, but the problem persists.

Is anyone else having this problem, or do you think this is a fault with my PC?

It appears as though the GetMod service is currently down - seems to be unable to connect to its database, based on the error message presented when the service is directly invoked through a browser, but I might be wrong.

Ah, thank you Daiman, for that possible explanation. I guess we'll have to wait for Mr.Hibbard to rescue us!
